Trusting someone to help manage your life isn't a small thing. Especially when it comes to your finances, personal decisions, and everyday needs.

For Betty, having people she trusts in her corner has made a meaningful difference.

In this clip, Betty talks openly about the support she receives from Liz and Tasha at Golden Concierge, and the trust they've built along the way.

And in true Betty fashion, she even manages to sneak in a little humor.

At Golden Concierge, we believe senior care is about more than checking things off a list. It's about building relationships, protecting independence, and making sure older adults feel heard, respected, and supported.

Somehow, you became the family spokesperson, appointment coordinator, medication tracker, and full-time updater of the sibling group chat.

And nobody remembers when you applied for all those positions.

Being the primary caregiver for an aging parent often comes with a whole second job that nobody sees.

It's not just taking Mom to appointments. It's remembering what the doctor said, following up on prescriptions, making decisions, and keeping everyone informed.

Meanwhile, everyone else gets the summary.

At Golden Concierge, we know how quickly caregiver responsibilities can pile up, especially when one person becomes the default for everything.

If you're the sibling handling it all, here's your reminder that it's okay to ask for more than a "Thanks for the update."

Send this to the family group chat. They might recognize someone.

What happens if Mom falls and you're two hours away?

Or Dad ends up in the hospital and nobody knows where his medication list is?

These are the questions nobody enjoys thinking about. But they're a whole lot easier to answer before something happens.

Having a plan doesn't mean expecting the worst.

It means knowing who to call, where important documents are, who can step in, and what your loved one wants if their care needs suddenly change.

At Golden Concierge, we help Iowa families think through the what-ifs of aging, coordinate senior care resources, and create practical plans before everything becomes urgent.

Because "we'll figure it out when it happens" isn't much of a plan.

Have you had the what-if conversation with your family yet?

Some people have a gift for walking into a complicated situation and somehow making everyone feel like they've got this.

Liz is one of those people.

Whether she's helping a family navigate senior care, tackling a home that's collected 40 years of memories (and approximately 400 things someone might need someday), or simply being there when things feel overwhelming, she brings equal parts compassion, determination, and a little humor to the process.

She's got a big heart, strong opinions, and a way of making people feel like they're in good hands.

We're pretty lucky to have her leading the way at Golden Concierge.

Help us wish Liz Keller a very happy birthday! She deserves a day where somebody else handles all the details for once.

Medicaid navigation is not for the faint of heart.

The paperwork is dense. The timelines are unforgiving. And when a family is already in crisis mode, the last thing they need is to figure out a complicated government process on their own.

This is one of the things we do really well at Golden Concierge. Especially when the clock is ticking and the stakes are high.

If you are a professional working with families who need Medicaid guidance, or if you are a family trying to navigate it yourself, we are the team you want in your corner.

We have been in the hard ones. We know how to get it done.

β€œYou guys have been our steady.”

That one got us.

Betty’s story is about more than getting help with a move or figuring out senior care. It’s about having people show up consistently when life gets complicated.

At Golden Concierge, the task list matters. But so does what happens after the task list is done.

Betty trusted us during a season when she and her family needed extra hands, honest guidance, and people who would keep showing up.

You’ll hear the rest of her story in her own words.

β€œI felt relieved that I didn't have to do it all by myself.” πŸ’›

Sometimes, having someone in your corner changes everything.

When we first met Betty, she was overwhelmed, struggling to manage her care, and unsure what to do next.

Her family had always been there for her, but as they got older, they couldn't provide the same level of support anymore.

And Betty understood that.

What she needed wasn't someone to take away her choices. She needed someone she could trust to help make those decisions and carry some of the weight.

In this heartfelt conversation, Betty shares what it meant to finally have that support and the relief of knowing she didn't have to figure everything out alone.

At Golden Concierge, it's moments like these that remind us why we do what we do.

We're grateful Betty trusted us to be part of her story. πŸ’š

πŸŽ₯ Stay tuned for the full interview with Betty. There's so much more to her story, and we can't wait to share it with you.

Most families do not realize this until they are already in crisis.

New 2026 healthcare and elder law updates emphasize the critical importance of having a general power of attorney and a healthcare power of attorney in place before a loved one loses the ability to sign legal documents. Without them, families may be forced into costly and emotionally exhausting court proceedings just to be able to make basic decisions for the person they love.

Updated 2026 guidelines now also allow for more detailed advance directives that include provisions for telemedicine and emerging medical treatments. But none of that matters if the documents are not in place first.

At Golden Concierge, we help Iowa families understand what legal documents they need and connect them with the right professionals to get them done before it becomes urgent.

Your brain needs care, too. And no, doing the occasional crossword puzzle isn't the whole plan. πŸ§ πŸ’›

While there's no guaranteed way to prevent Alzheimer's disease, research suggests that certain lifestyle habits may help lower your risk of dementia and support long-term brain health.

The good news? Many of these habits are things you can start working on today.

πŸ’š Move your body regularly. Even daily walks can make a difference.

πŸ’› Eat more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and other brain-healthy foods.

πŸ’š Keep an eye on your blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol.

πŸ’› Stay mentally active by learning new things and challenging your brain.

πŸ’š Make time for family, friends, and meaningful connections.

πŸ’› Prioritize quality sleep, protect your hearing, and avoid smoking.

You don't have to change everything overnight. Small, consistent habits can support your brain health as you age.

At Golden Concierge, we believe healthy aging is about more than just physical health. It's about supporting independence, staying connected, and protecting your quality of life.

πŸ“Œ Save this as a reminder to give your brain some attention, too. And share it with someone who wants to age well!
