Race #2 is in the books. After jumping the start from the pole position, (rookie mistake) I had to start the race in 10 place. The car felt good the first 10 laps but began getting tighter throughout the race. I worked my way to 7th place and finished. Laps times were good and the car is getting better every time we go out. Thanks to the crew for all their hard work making the car faster. We will keep moving forward making some changes this week to try and find those tenths of a second. Thanks for all your support!

First race is in the books folks. Thanks to everyone who came out! The new engine performed great. We worked on the setup all night and we made progress every time we went on the track. We will make it better this week in the shop and be back next Saturday. A huge shout out to my sponsors as always. Thank you all!

Opening night update‼️last night was the first race of the season. After 2 weeks of rainouts the rain finally halted and the skies cleared.
On lap 2 of the first set of hot laps the engine began missing and stuttering. The crew went to work during the break to address the problem. Nothing obvious was found.
During the second hot laps session the miss became worse. I pulled in and and we went to work. Soon discovering the engine was about to expire.
With rebuild costs and time frame, a new engine must be purchased.
Last Sunday I had an accident with the race hauler so a new hauler had to be purchased this week.
It's been a difficult week and a rough start to my rookie season but I'll keep my head up and keep pressing forward. These failures are just part of the story I'm writing. Thank you all for coming along with me.
