Your wrestling team wrapped up their season this past weekend at the TSSAA State Wrestling Championships. We qualified 8 out of 14 individuals for the state tournament. Qualifiers are as follows:

Hunter Meadows: Sophomore, 113 lbs
Deter Thompson: Sophomore, 120 lbs
Cameron Malone: Sophomore, 132 lbs
Ethan Greear: Junior, 150 lbs
Felix Duncan: Junior, 157 lbs
Anthony Accoglio: Junior, 175 lbs
Anthony Lastra: Senior, 215 lbs
Brayden Vance: Senior, 285 lbs

This ties the amount of qualifiers Crockett has ever brought to the state tournament. Furthermore, we had four (4) of these individuals bring home medals which is a new record for most hardware won at the state tournament for our boys.

Deter Thompson finished in 5th place at 120lbs (now a two-time state medalist), Felix Duncan finished in 6th place at 157lbs, Anthony Lastra brought home 4th place at 215lbs, and Brayden Vance finished his career in 2nd place at heavyweight. With his advancement to the championship bout, Brayden Vance became David Crockett's second state finalist in the last 32 years! Overall, the team finished in 11th place.

Be sure to congratulate these young men if you have them in class or see them in the hallways.
