A desert expedition is not complete without finding some leftover bone fractions. Amazing to find these in the shade of the mountains.

The Ramblas. In the driest months these river beds are the paths of the desert. They vary from broad to very narrow streams. Hard to inagine these ramblas will be fully operationel as rivers after a quick release of torrential rainfall.

All sorts of desert plants grow in these ramblas. You will even find a specific flower along these river beds. Besides an abundance of plants this is also the place where wildlife can be spotted. Mainly salamanders and birds that make their nests. Poisenous spiders, snakes and scorpions can be found along the ramblas as well. Besides the flora and fauna you will find amazing eroded stones here as well.

Entering the Tabernas Desert.

In the upcoming weeks I will show more visuals from the finished desert (training) expedition in Desierto de Tabernas. It was an intense experience (in many ways).
