[04/09/19] Good news! Senate Bill 16 has passed! We are one step closer to getting our liquor license back. We want to give a huge thanks to those that wrote and called into the Alaska State Legislature with your support or signed our petition. Your voices have been heard and you will be able to enjoy a cold one at your favorite bowling alleys, state fairs, golf courses, and concerts in no time.
Hey Juneau Community, we need your help.
Taku Lanes was denied a renewal on our liquor license after 13 years of selling alcohol due to the new Department of Commerce leadership interpreting current licensing policy differently than in previous years. The current policy doesn't list out many sports and recreational activities, including "bowling", as a sports or recreational sites eligible for a liquor licensing. Luckily, there is new legislation being written up and going through the Alaska State Senate as we speak titled SB 16 and SB 52 that updates and clarifies previous policy. If passed, they will allow bowling alleys, golf course, state fairs, and more recreational sites to continue selling alcohol under proper licensing. If you support this rewrite and would like to enjoy a beer at your next bowling game, state fair, baseball games, etc. then sign our petition of support here:

Summer Bowling League is here! Adult Youth Bowling League starts May 10th to August 2nd, $12 Per Week per team member.
Alright Ladies and Gentlemen its that time of year, Summer time! That means, Summer League!
Starting May 10th at 6:30PM Taku Lanes will be hosting the Adult Youth Summer league. This is a recreational league. Not through USBC.
This will be a 12 Week league. Only 3 Months!
The cost is wonderful, its only $12 per week per player. Equivalent to 3 games and a pair of shoes.
This is a great opportunity for families that enjoy the sport of bowling to get started. We really encourage adults that have children to attend.
Depending on the participation, we will have 4-5 person teams. Teams must have at least 1 youth bowler on their team.
There will be experienced players to help with bowling tips and even coaching. We are looking forward to helping people learn and show us their stuff. (Bowling Wise)
If you have any questions please let us know. Send me a private message or you can also give the bowling alley a call and talk to Cindy.
I really look forward to seeing as many people as possible. Come out and bowl!
