If you havenโt been to Kids Club since weโve opened back up, this week will be your last chance to stop by. Come grab a gift bag with Kids Club memories and say good bye. Weโll miss you and we like to think of this more as โSee You Laterโ than โGoodbye.โ
VERY SAD NEWS: KIDS CLUB IS CLOSING
This is to sadly inform you that we recently received notice from the owner of the building that we lease for the Kids Club, that our lease will not be renewed. The owner stated that her decision to cancel our lease was for personal reasons, and that we have been a good tenant.
The last day of operation for the Kids Club is August 22nd. Accordingly, we have stopped all billings as of July 22nd. There will be no August Kids Club dues, but everyoneโs Kids Club memberships are good through August 22nd.
I know for the Pavitt staff, this is very difficult. We have many wonderful long and short term relationships with children and parents, and know what an important part of a healthy routine the Kids Club has been for families. We can only imagine what the impact of this is for families already trying to adjust schedules and routines since schools and other programs for children have been affected.
We have looked for options for how to continue providing childcare, but the options are unrealistic at this time while we are in the midst of a pandemic.
The cancelling of the lease was unexpected news for us. We are truly going to miss โourโ kids and the relationships with parents and family. Our hope is that you will stay committed to healthy family routines, and that Pavitt Health & Fitness can continue to be a part of them.
We are so sorry. For all of us at Pavitt Health & Fitness,
Joe Parrish
Managing Partner

Greetings Kids Club Parents,
We miss you and we'd like to stay connected with you and your children during this closure. Please look for more newsletters coming your way from Kids Club Staff.
In the meantime, I'll be out at the Juneau Community Garden on Friday, May 1st from 10-1 p.m. Join me for some digging in the dirt and an orientation to the garden area and surrounding activities. I have 3 large plots to spread out and maintain a safe distance. If you haven't been there before, the community garden is a large fenced area with over a 100 families growing vegetables. The garden has wagons, some bikes, and children's sized digging tools and even a child-sized shed and toy box with big monster trucks. If you want to message me and schedule a time you can iMessage me and I can give you a 15 minute tour and direct you to digging around. Next week, I will try to set up another day, possibly Friday (weather permitting) for some potato planting. For more information on the community garden, please see:

Hi Friends! We were all looking forward to Saturday's Parents' Night Out. Due to a JSD school closure (today) and community concerns regarding the Coronavirus, I feel the need to postpone Saturday's event.
Pavittt Health and Fitness and Kids Club are taking extra measures to make sure our facilities remain a clean and healthy environment for our children and families. As of now, there has been no impact to Kids Club standard business hours.
Thank you for your understanding!
