First southpaw on a planer!
Was rad to have Bettylou in the war room, and even cooler to see how committed and how hard she went at this project.
Bettylou dislocated her right shoulder setting a bottom turn at sunset a day or two before we shot this (you’ll see her nursing/ignoring it in the entire EP if you watch closely.)
So fun to have her on and to spend some time talking boxing, Moto and what it feels like to be the queen of Haleiwa (my words, not hers…)
Her board is an absolute stunner- 5’0(ish) HP twin fish… check the next post for the reveal.

My good friend Cliff Kapono is at it again (pictured here on a 6’2 Kalapana I made him a few years ago…)
Cliff and his good friend John Burns created The MEGA lab- a group of scientific misfits whose work mainly celebrates ocean stewardship and uses art, sport culture and science to do it. They are creating new technologies r ocean conservation and aim to provide it to the communities who need it the most.

He’s a real one. A cold-chilling, astro-turf loving brick of a kid with a heart of gold.
Hardcore n**e prone skateboarder that and idolizes his big sisters and loves his mama. Still not sure if he’s in love with Elsa and Anna, or if he wants to BE Elsa and Anna… only time will tell.
I’m not big on sharing moments like this on the internet- but I put this photo on my story anyway and then and was bummed when it was gone 24 hours later (yes, I know how IG “stories” work…)
Now it’s up here for good.
Just a golden moment with my main man. Rex- you are a legend.
