Surprise pop up beach rave tomorrow 😎 Come to Malaekahana in Laie tomorrow at 11am for my day time rave party on the beach! It will be right on the shore so I suggest that you wear something you'd be comfortable in on the sand~

This is a bit of a test run since it's such short notice, but the next time I do it I want to have other DJs and artists perform with me! Message me if you're interested👀

I want to do a beach rave at every beach on the island so if you can't come tomorrow I hope I can see you at one of the next events I do😁

Something About Us - Yeshua Ⓥ Remix

Daft Punk was my first exposure to electronic music in high school. My friend Joe told me, "Did you know there's a song that only says 'around the world' the whole time?" and I fell in love with Daft Punk after listening to it.

Years later, my kids would always sing "One More Time" because they heard it on the Trolls movie. I searched for the music video to watch with them, and we enjoyed the animation. At the end of the video, it looked like there was more to it than just the singing and instrument playing shown throughout.

I learned that there was actually a whole movie that goes along with Daft Punk's album "Discovery," which is titled Interstella 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem.

Although it was different than a normal movie that had characters talking, my kids still loved to watch this movie and listen to the music, and experience the story on screen even without any voice lines.

My son Daniel especially loved this movie and always wanted to watch the full 1 hour film before going to sleep. This was our special activity we would do every night during the summer 2020.

Many people including myself were hoping that Daft Punk would have released one last album before announcing their retirement. But I think it's refreshing to go back and listen to all the songs they made that I have fond memories of.

I wanted to make this remix of Something About Us in a more dance, upbeat style so that this song can be played in a club/rave setting, while the original might not be played at festival events.

I heard this song on Tom and Jerry years ago and forgot it existed until I saw a video of the song recommended on YouTube.

and I wanted to remix it so that this song could be enjoyed in a modern setting with our own twist 😉

And thank you to Jayspeeds for dancing along while cutting my hair and being the best barber on the island and also sniping everybody's head hehehe~

I'm thankful that I live in Hawaii with my family. I've thought about how much I would miss walking down the road and swimming at the beach with my kids, if we moved to the mainland.

I'm thankful that I get to wake up everyday and see the green mountains behind our home.

I'm thankful for the good weather so that I get to play with my family outside on the grass.

I'm thankful that out of every place in the world I could've been born into, it was here in Hawaii.

Today I'm thankful for music and that God has blessed me with opportunities to learn how to make my own music.

Coming up with an idea for a song, making the song, and then having other people listen to it and enjoy it feels really good to me and I'm thankful to be able to share music with others and bring joy to them.
