Goju-Kan Hawaii Karate Do

United Goju-kan Karate Do-Hawaii. Come to our dojo and learn loyalty, honor and tradition.

Operating as usual

Happy Birthday mom
91 yrs

Dojo is officially down
Now we start the rebuild

Well I never thought I would ever say this let alone happen. Read to the end

Our dojo of 40+ years has come to a close.
Many students made their way through these door. Lots of blood sweat n tears.

Amazing Sensei’s from all styles, states n countries walked into our to shared their knowledge wisdom n support. Honorable masters, movie stars and hey, we even had movie stunts training from some pretty awesome choreographers.

But it has alway been the students that came to train and make us a who we are. Their dedication to do whatever needed to be done inspired me to keep going. Building our reputation worldwide.
Then there are the wonderful parents whom without them, we would never get this far.

So much much memories that have been etched within these walls. I am sadden...

But, wait...
No COVID 19 is not the cause for our closing
However it did help with the decision.

As u can see from the photos. Yes we are tearing down the dojo. And closing this dojo doors forever. Shown are a few before shots. Then the packing up. And finally the tear down.

All to make room for our NEW Bigger, wider and higher dojo. And something totally new as well, we are going upstairs! Yup more windows and mirrors. Adding in a small weight room section. More toys to play with. Couple more tv’s n stereo system.
Sorry, NO a/c... I have to draw the line on this request hehe. And if u ever been in our dojo u know why. Old school sweat box!

I will keep you updated and when we are ready to reopen with a grand opening to boot.
Inviting all to once again set foot in our new dojo n lay your mark. Exciting nervous with anticipation of what another 40+ years will bestowed upon us. It will b epic!

Thank you to all !!! See you in Few months.
Completion date is end November to mid December 2020.
