One mission. Three paths of support.

The Wise Widow™ was created because grief is not the only thing a widow has to carry.

There are decisions. Documents. Details. Demands. Deadlines. And in the middle of it all, a woman is trying to breathe, grieve, think clearly, and figure out what comes next.

That is why The Wise Widow™ ecosystem supports women and families before, through, and after spousal loss:

The Wise Widow™ Coaching Program — practical guidance and organization after loss.
The Pampered Widow™ — thoughtful comfort and care for grieving widows.
The Widow Planner™ — preparation and organization before loss.

A calm path forward… step by step.

The casseroles were eaten.
The cards stopped coming.
The flowers faded.
But she didn’t.

The widow is still here, still grieving, and still worthy of comfort, kindness, and care.

That simple truth is the heart behind The Pampered Widow™.
We are creating thoughtful gift experiences for widows who need comfort, care, encouragement, and reminders that they are not forgotten after the funeral is over.

Our first collections are coming together now, including a Patriotic/Veterans box, a comfort box, and a fall quarterly subscription.

Photos are coming soon, and I cannot wait to share what we are building.

Yesterday I updated my status on my Facebook profile: widowed.
That one word carries a whole story. I appreciate all the love and support you all showered on me!

Out of my widow story, The Wise Widow™ was born: a place of calm, practical, compassionate support for the vulnerable seasons before, through, and after loss. That's why I address all 3 in The Wise Widow™.

Before loss: The Widow Planner™
Through loss: Wise Widow Coaching™
After loss: The Pampered Widow™

Grief is real. So are the responsibilities that come with it.

My heart is to help women and families feel less alone, less overwhelmed, and more supported, one wise next step at a time.

Whether it is before, through, or after loss.

**Post 1: The Part of Widowhood No One Prepared Me For**

When my husband, Paul Bessent, died nearly 3 years ago, I expected grief.

I expected the tears.
I expected the empty chair.
I expected the silence.

What I did not expect was how quickly the world would expect me to make decisions.

The mail kept coming.
The bills kept coming.
The paperwork kept coming.

And I remember thinking...

“How am I supposed to figure all of this out when I can barely think?”

No one tells you that grief comes with homework.

No one tells you that while your heart is broken, you may also have to learn a whole new language of insurance, banks, accounts, forms, and decisions.

I didn’t need someone to tell me everything would be okay.

I needed someone to sit beside me and say:

“Let’s just handle the next thing.”

If you are sitting at your kitchen table surrounded by papers and wondering why this feels so hard...

I understand.

I have sat at that same table. You don't have to do this alone.
That is why I created The Wise Widow™.

It isn't simply a website. It is the resource I wish someone had placed in my hands after Paul died, when grief collided with responsibility and I didn't know where to begin.

Today, with gratitude and a full heart, I'm honored to finally open the door.

If you are a widow, I hope you'll find something there that helps you take your next step. If you love a widow, I hope you'll better understand the road she is walking.

If your husband has recently died, you may suddenly find yourself sorting through important documents, unfamiliar paperwork, and countless decisions, that require your attention,
