What an unforgettable weekend at the 3rd Annual Carolina Turkey Shootout at CMP! From the moment the first engines fired up to the final checkered flag, the energy was electric. Families, teams, and fans packed the paddock, cheering on racers of all ages as they battled through tight laps, bold passes, and some of the most exciting kart racing we’ve seen yet.

This event continues to grow each year, and it’s all thanks to the incredible community that makes the Carolina racing scene so special. Whether you were turning wrenches, calling strategy, supporting from the fence line, or strapping into a kart yourself, you helped make this year’s Turkey Shootout one to remember.

Congratulations to Cal Stewart, winner of Friday’s Senior 380 # money race at the AKT Carolina Turkey Shootout!

Eli Fox started from the pole and led the first 20 laps until the competition caution on lap 20. A mandatory pit stop meant all drivers had to change right-side tires as fast as possible, retake the track to a green flag, and run a 5-lap shootout.

Stewart led Marc Stehle off pit road and maintained a gap over Stehle for the final five laps to take the win, good for a cool $600 payday! Stehle took P2 for $400 with Ryan Sukeena collecting $300 for P3. Fox and Jamie Bradford finished in the money in fourth and fifth.

A full day of racing in on tap for Saturday with two rounds of practice, qualifying, heats and main events for the 3rd annual Turkey Shootout at CMP. Over 100 karts expected — looking forward to a great (albeit cold 🥶) day of racing in South Carolina!
