the others didn’t want to dress up for the turkey trot…
In even BIGGER news!… it was my first race back for my hip! Definitely still getting there but insanely proud of myself and being able to do it. Averaged a 9:07 pace.
this freezing run was definitely energized by the blue raz as well as the motivation of a pie!

Lots of change as I start a new chapter.. You may have noticed i’ve been more quiet on here than normal, that is because I was moving! I moved back down to Texas because an increase in office work time.
Lots of change and learning my new “norm” but i’m excited to see what is has in store!
Plus the office gym is definitely above average!! A good compromise for having to leave all my gym equipment for the time being.

after work routine
nothing beats a warmup, workout, and cooldown after a long day of work. a also is a highlight to look forward to.
post surgery my warmups are way more elaborate and are the most important thing for me.

20 day countdown until my next half marathon on may 7th!
a group outing to helped us all get fitted and find the shoes for us to perform our best.
this is the first time I had ever been fitted and was an absolute must after my last shoes heavily hurting my feet every time I ran. I ended up getting a pair of and so far they are great.
amazing experience. definitely recommend.

took a quick trip down to austin, texas today to participate in a labs research study.
was a very cool opportunity to help improve a device that I have been using for almost 4.5 years (1620 days to be exact).
the test consisted of wearing a bunch of monitors and doing a hour total of work. the first 30 minutes being walking around a track. the second 30 minutes being a good paced run. ended up totaling somewhere around the 6 mile range for the hour.

taking fitness and outdoors!
my friend bryce and I are on a two week roadtrip visiting national parks all throughout the western US. while being active outside exploring, we still spend a little time each day doing a fun workout.
excited to continue the trip, explore, and take a break before resuming hard training when I get back!
