This is why pics are SO important. The scale never tells the whole story. These are 1 day apart and 1 lb down, L-> R. I was having some major issues over the weekend with water retention and was super discouraged.

A bit of focused water decrease / sodium increase / focus on movement (ie walk!!) yesterday and the result is in the pics. The scale adjusted but not fully - but you can see it here.

Pics are SO important to see progress.

Had a friend and coach remind me of this, this morning. This prep has been especially frustrating and there’s a lot of times I just want to give up. The goal is still in sight, but we’re having to adjust the plan. Nothing ever really goes quite the way you expect it to and that’s OK. You just reassess, regroup and keep going.

Carbs are not the enemy and fruit is so so good! Sometimes I forget just to go back to basics. Yesterday I did not frontload my day well with food and by 9 o’clock last night I realized I still had a ways to go to hit my macros so there I was on my couch, choking down egg whites and broccoli, trying to get my macros in. I figured I would get a jumpstart on it this morning. This is delicious!

Food prep and NFL Combine.

There’s no magic pill y’all.

It’s being willing to do stuff like this on the weekends and a commitment to an ONGOING healthy lifestyle.

I’m not special or lucky or genetically blessed. 😂. I’m just consistent.

1. Chicken thighs with asparagus & sweet potatoes
2. Chickpea pasta with 93/7 ground turkey, spinach, red bell peppers, and no-sugar-added organic marinara sauce
3. Chicken thighs with creamer potatoes and broccoli
4. For my low-carb days, I also made 93/7 ground turkey with cauliflower rice and yellow bell pepper, with low sodium taco seasoning. This will be easy to eat over spinach, or with low-carb tortillas
5. Last but not least, egg white, spinach and bell pepper mini frittatas 😋

And the finished fridge!!

11 weeks out and it go time!
