While the focus of youth sports is on fun and friendly competition, it’s important to remember that children are still developing physically. Their bones, muscles and joints are still growing, making them more vulnerable to sports injuries. Here are some tips from Memorial Hermann-GoHealth Urgent Care to help prevent them:

Get a sports physical
Play by the rules
Don’t skip the warm-ups
Stay hydrated
Don’t overdo it
If your child is experiencing pain, save your spot or walk in any day of the week.
