Kat and I finally completed our cardio setup, we just brought home our treadmill! 🚴🏽‍♂️🏃🏽‍♀️
During the move, the monitor broke after bouncing around in a U-Haul trailer (lesson learned: I should’ve rented a truck 😅). Luckily, the seller went above and beyond—he replaced the monitor for us even though he had no obligation to.
We’ve purchased all of our cardio equipment from him, and I can’t recommend him enough if you’re looking for affordable gear. He carries top brands like Peloton, ProForm, Echelon, NordicTrack, and LifeSmart.

Taking my 3 loves to see the Color Purple movie.

Kat and I could not be together for New Year’s Eve this year. That is just part of the sacrifice when you are a military family. Tonight we will end up FaceTiming for the countdown. Until then I will enjoy watermelon chunks and. a jelly uncrustable, while my wife enjoys some movies and dinner at home with our cousin Sarah. See you all next year.

Going through some boxes and found a photo of me and Kat on our first date in 1996. We had only known each other for about 24 hours and it felt like he was already my soulmate for years. That night we sipped on wine coolers as his brother drove us around the city that I was not at all used to and amazed by. At one point Sal fell to the floor when flew over a big bump in the road! We laughed so hard 😆 When he looked up at me as he was trying to regain his seat, he said, “you don’t know it yet but you’re going to be my wife💜💜💜”
Somehow that wasn’t strange for me to hear.
I felt it, too💜💜💜

Exploring Laredo in December at the Laredo center for the arts. Tonight there was an exhibit called Tamalada. It told the story of the evolution of tamales and how it still is embedded in today’s Latin cultures.

Can’t be with my family on thanksgiving day but so grateful for the military for providing some thanksgiving ambience and dishes for those of us at the Texas border.

I am thinking about getting this little red sports car for my midlife crisis. It is good on gas and within my budget. 😂
