One of the best things about sports is the community it creates. What starts as a shared love for the game often becomes something much bigger- a family.
We celebrate life’s victories together and support each other through its toughest moments.🫶

Today, our D-BAT Katy family is rallying around one of our own, Coach Edixon Garcia. For years, Coach Edixon has poured into our players, families, and community, making a lasting impact both on and off the field. Now it’s our turn to support him.

Edixon’s wife is currently in hospice care, and the family is facing a heartbreaking reality and one of their wishes is to return her home to Venezuela to be laid to rest with loved ones.

We ask our D-BAT Katy community and beyond to surround the Garcia family with prayers, love, and support during this difficult time. Any donation can help ease the financial burden they are facing, and if you’re unable to give, sharing the fundraiser is greatly appreciated.

Let’s come together and show Coach Edixon the same kindness, generosity, and support he has shown so many others.

6A DI State Champs: Katy Tigers

AUSTIN — From the moment Katy arrived in Austin, the Lady Tigers looked like a team on a mission.

On Saturday evening, that mission was accomplished as Katy defeated Forney 7-2 to secure the program's third UIL state championship and first since 2019.

Behind a championship performance from freshman pitcher Haley Schmitt and a balanced offensive attack that produced 10 hits, the Lady Tigers captured the UIL Class 6A Division II State Championship at Red & Charline McCombs Field and added another trophy to one of Texas high school softball's most accomplished traditions.
