If I told you that I'd just returned from Cambridge, Cairo and Ravenna, you might think I went on a Viking River Cruise. But no, I would have been on a few relaxing golf outings in Central Nebraska! Our most recent was in the aforementioned Ravenna with it's rolling hills and quirky holes. A merry band of 48 roving rogues hit the links on Tuesday. Fun golf followed by a succulent steak dinner. Does it get any better?

From the highest point on Pawnee Hills our playing partners show there is more than one way to get er done. Swing your swing!

These four horsemen of the apocalypse reflected the chill, laid back atmosphere at Pawnee Hills. If you didn't know this was central Nebraska you might mistakenly think they're ordering mojitos in Key West.

CNSGA hadn't seen our old friend Pawnee Hills in Fullerton for a 2 years. But as is often the case, we picked right up where we left off. Lots of laughs, fellowship and fun golf. Our hosts Shelly and Mary Ann welcomed us with open arms and a few one- liners. 36 old codgers showed up to rechristen the beautiful course.

Exhausted CNSGA golfers after a trying day on the links. A little parking lot pep talk and post round therapy. Tough to go low today. A great meal (topped off with yummy banana/ chocolate chip bread) made the trials and tribulations of Chapman worth it. Epic day in Cozad!

CARNAGE IN COZAD! Like in Homer's Odyssey, The Siren's Song, aka, The Chapman format, called all the first families of the CNSGA to the Cozad Country Club. The Gunner's from Grant, The Sandhill's Stix from the Sticks, the City Slicks from GI, Kearney and Hastings, the Loup City Loopers, the Broken Bow Hustlers, the Hacks from Big Mac, and the Smiling Assassins from Callaway gathered with the Cozad Knights of Kenny's Round Table. Nobody left unscathed, not even the winners! Part shamble, part scramble, part alternate shot, this format tests your game, your patience and your friendships. And it is really fun! Much like Nebraska "It's not for everyone!", but a day with the CNSGA is "The Good Life".

We presented two more scholarships to outstanding teens, Julia Messere and Jack Alberts! CNSGA members continue to "pay it forward!". Support our youth, grow the game, continue a life a service to others.
