Great weekend of sailing at PCYC - Pass Christian Yacht Club for the Miss High School Fleet Championship. Congratulations to St. Stanislaus on their big win and to Fairhope High School and St. Patrick's on their 2nd and 3rd place overall finishes. Nine teams sailing 18 races in very windy conditions competed for the "Rock" trophy on the Mississippi Sound.

Big thanks to the Pass Christian Sailing Foundation and for doing a fabulous job hosting the largest Miss High School Fleet Championship to date.

We had a diverse group of teams participate. From high schoolers new to the sport of sailing to some of the most experienced youth sailors in our region. Kudos to Pass Christian Community Sailing and St. Michael's for staying competitive all weekend long under very trying conditions. Along with the newly formed West Harrison sailing team for their efforts! Glad to see so many new high school sailors out on the water.

This "eastern side" of SEISA is bubbling up with talent.

St. Stanislaus' team continues to grow in depth and experience. Fairhope High School is also coming on strong. It is apparent how much this team's depth has grown and skill set has improved with each new event. Glad to see the Blue Jays are back out and competing again. They have been missed. St. Patrick's team has grown in the past year along with their performance. Gulfport High continues to expand their team and remain competitive as well. Ocean Springs has a new coach and is doing a great job expanding their team and sharpening their skills on the water.

The wind is out today! Day 2 Miss HS Fleet Racing Championship is underway.

That's a wrap! First day of racing finished in the State of Mississippi High School Fleet Sailing Championship. St. Stanislaus is in the lead. The race for the "Rock" continues tomorrow PCYC - Pass Christian Yacht Club

Mark your calendars. The first official SEISA event on the "eastern side" of the district is the Jerry Ellis Junior Regatta & High School Showcase Regatta at Biloxi Yacht Club Oct. 8th-9th.
