RIP Chris 😢

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Chris Denslow. To say Chris was a friend is an understatement. Chris was extended family to the entire Culver Racing team. His sarcastic humor, amazing photos and willingness to help on boat nights will be missed beyond measure. RIP Chris

H1 is deeply saddened to share the passing of our longtime official photographer, Chris Denslow, who passed away on the evening of August 31 following complications from a short illness.

For more than 20 years, Chris quietly but passionately captured the very essence of our sport. Though never one to seek the spotlight, he was among those who truly made hydroplane racing possible. Through his lens, Chris documented not only the action on the water, but also the spirit, tradition, and community that define H1 racing. His photos have become part of our shared history and will continue to inspire future generations.

Growing up in Tri-Cities, Chris knew firsthand how central the Unlimiteds were to the life of the region. What began as a summertime tradition became his lifelong contribution, preserving the moments that bring this sport to life.

H1 has lost an irreplaceable member of its family, and our thoughts are with Chris’s family and friends during this difficult time. More details regarding services will be shared as they become available.

MEET THE GO3 CREW

JOSH CULVER
Hull and Engines
Pasco, WA

Josh has grown up part of the Go3 team, joining his Dad, John back in 2003.

The youngest member of the team, Josh had lots of jobs he’s more than capable of handling. He also has been driver Jimmy King’s radio guy when needed. A pretty important voice in Jimmy’s ear on race day.

Josh also drives a 1 liter inboard hydro he owns with his Dad.

When not racing, he’s raising two beautiful daughters with his wife Tori.

Josh’s real job is with Specialty Mobility.

MEET THE GO3 CREW

JOHN CULVER
Fuel and Skid Fin
Kennewick, WA

John joined the team in 2003. He and long time Go3 friend, Paul Parish, came to the Evansville and Madison races that year. The team was short handed, Ed Cooper recruited him and John has been on the crew ever since and his experience is invaluable.

Married to Vauna, they have two kids - Josh and Melanie. And two granddaughters. John runs two businesses when he’s not racing, Specialty Mobility and Culver Construction.

John was also part of the Water Follies and the Richland Regatta.

Along with Josh, who also drives, they own a 1 liter hydro they race in APBA region 10 races.

You’ll see John on the front rope when we are putting the Turbinator in the water.

It is with a heavy heart that we pass along the news that the President of NWPBA, John Mostoller, has passed away. He made a valiant and courageous 8 year battle with cancer.
You can go on and on about his character, ethics, personality, but what we think says it all, he was a GOOD MAN.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.
John, you will be missed. ❤️🙏
