Remembering our veterans, James Garner - His military service spread over two wars. WWII Merchant Marines & National Guard - Regular Army 5th Regiment in Korea. He was wounded twice and received 2 Purple Hearts. The earlier photograph shows him with a young Korean orphan he took care of during that war.

Remembering our veterans, Dan Blocker (December 10, 1928 – May 13, 1972) was drafted into the United States Army during the Korean War. He served as an Infantry sergeant in F Company, 2nd Battalion, 179th Infantry Regiment, 45th infantry Division in Korea, December 1951 to August 1952. He received a Purple Heart for wounds in combat

View from the Soos Creek Trail — December 29th, 2018. Soos Creek is named for the village of the Skopamish Indians who once lived in this area. They were forced onto the reservation after signing the Point Elliot Treaty in 1855.
