Moving differently through spaces π§‘
The few times each year I can bring myself to walk into the KWHS front office, my heart still races a thousand beats per minute, and my mind finds its way back to that one Saturday morning.
Facing the fear, the doubt, the heartbreak and the unknown will never be easy - but what brings a smidgen of comfort is knowing that your legacy moves differently through spaces now.
Join the KWSA gang at Class Night next Wednesday May 27, as we proudly award $15,500 in scholarships to 11 incredible senior athletes π¨π½βππ©π½βπ
To our community π: thank you for continuing to move with us. Your love, support, and belief in KWSA make moments like this possible, and I'm forever grateful for the way you all continue to show up for us ππ½π§‘
We love you all so much π€

It's May π»
And I'm sitting here wondering - where has the time gone? And what have I really done with it, if anything at all?
Then I pause and remember... this is a BIG month for us at π§‘
Just a tiny moment in the grand scheme of life, but one where we get to share the impact of a year's worth of heart, hustle, and community support.
Our small, volunteer-based 501(c)(3) has already packed quite the punch this year π₯

So many connections captured in a single photo πΈ
Once upon a time, Coach reached out to for support in helping Allens Alexandre, a KWHS Conch Wrestler, compete on the national stage in Utah. It was an honor to play even a small role in giving a local student-athlete the exposure he earned.
Fast-forward to this past weekend: Coach Chaz shared that Allens toured the campus - and received an offer to join the program.
While there, Allens stood in front of Coach Dexter's photo in the athletics facility - once, teammates cheering him on after a home run - today, it's Dexter cheering on the athletes we are able to help through the organization he created.
Allens, you've got a whole community behind you !

Reminder to our lower keys island π communities πͺΈπ
KWSA is currently knee-deep in reviewing essays from local senior graduates who applied for Dexter's and his dad Bill's memorial scholarships. I'm personally inspired by the talent, dedication, and stories shared by you all.
At the same time, our mission never pauses. We remain committed to supporting up-and-coming athletes in our community who may need a financial boost to participate in the recreational sport they love.
