What tires do the 600 mods have to run?
Will you have any tires to sell on Sunday
Is there a rain out date if Sunday’s fall series opener is rained out!
So the fall series begins Saturday September 12th as it's been scheduled. Then The GRIT race on Sunday the 13th,correct?
Can I please work next year
No racing this coming Saturday?
What poor leadership and management at this track. You tell the "future" sportsman all season their point standing. You have them handicap when the race their heats. You give them a weekly rundown of point standings. And the last race of the season you tell the "future" sportsman racers that there no Championship or point standings. That your "ladies messed up". Really, the whole summer? Shame on you and your staff.
What a sad show of leadership and management skills at this last race of the summer season. You tell the "future" sportsman to race for points all season. You handicap them when they are ahead. Then at the last race of the season as the "future" is waiting for his Season Championship, high points winner, moment. He's told that "your lady doesn't know what she's doing. And there's no Championship" . Shame on you and your staff.
Anyone have photos from this past Saturday?
What photographers were there last night? And where might I find some photos from last night. Thanks in advance
Congratulations to mud turtle #312 on ur 2nd place finish

Finger Lakes Speed World

Without a local car show this year this is a great option for area teams and fans to get involved. Contact Jim Olin for more details.

For Immediate Release:

February 7, 2021-Auburn, NY

With a difficult 2020 race season behind us, we are now staring down the barrel of 2021, which promises to be a more productive time for the racing community. With several tracks running limited schedules without spectators in the grandstands, and some not opening at all this past season, there is definitely a thirst for the season to come.
The kick-off of the racing season in Central New York has been Finger Lakes Speed World for the last 4 years. This year will be no exception. Finger Lakes Mall, located on Rt. 5 and 20 west of the city of Auburn has once again agreed to host the event. With most of the spring motorsports shows being canceled, this may be your only chance for teams to showcase their equipment and sponsors before they hit the track. Also, this will give the fans a chance to get out and see what's in store for 2021.
Friendly Ford of Geneva will return as the lead sponsor, and Land of Legends Raceway in Canandaigua will once again headline the center stage area. Haun Welding Products of Geneva is on board as well.
Several organizations will be in attendance, most notably South Butler Nostalgia Drags who will be showcasing several vintage muscle cars and dragsters. Many local racers will have their rides on display for all to see.
There will be chances to win prizes again this year with many raffle items up for grabs. Drawings will be held Saturday afternoon and you must be present to claim prizes.
With Covid-19 still a factor in upstate NY, certain regulations will be in effect. All participants entering the mall will be required to wear a face covering, and all parties displaying will have to fill out contact tracing forms.
The show will take place March 6th, 10am until 8pm, and March7th, 10am until 6pm. Cars and vendors can move in on March 5th starting at 6pm. There are several spots left for displays. Vendors are welcome. Vendor spots are $25 per table space. Tables are not provided.
Anyone who would like to display a car, represent a motorsports organization or reserve a vendor space must contact show promoter Jim Olin at 315-632-8046.

We are actively working on our 2021 racing schedule at Five Mile Point Speedway. We wanted to take one more opportunity to say Thank You to everyone that supported our efforts in 2020.

Congratulations to all of the Season Long and Fall Series Champions. It really was an amazing year of competition in all of the classes. The level of competition was unlike any in recent years. Winning a championship this past season will always be remembered in the record books.

We are so appreciative of the effort made by everyone on our track teams. The officials, safety crews and everyone involved did an outstanding job. Our team of fearless women at the pit sign - in did an outstanding job safely and efficiently signing teams in all season long. It takes a great group of people to make it all happen and we certainly have that.

Thank you again to everyone that cooperated with the constraints and restrictions just to be able to race at Five Mile Point Speedway in 2020. Again, it was you that made it possible!

Our 2020 season ending banquet wasn't able to be held indoors as we had originally scheduled. We do plan on honoring all of the 2020 accomplishments at the speedway in the spring with a chicken bbq. We will keep everyone updated.

As we enter in to the 2021 racing season there are again a lot of unknowns. We are unsure when we will be able to have fans in the stands and in what capacity (if we were to guess - we are thinking May). As was the case in 2020 we have little guidance from NYS but again we will work with whatever guidelines we are given.

We are beyond proud that during a time when businesses were being listed for Covid-19 infections and shuttered, that we never had a single case involved with Five Mile Point Speedway. That is a credit to everyone working together and with our officials on a weekly basis. We were certainly blessed.

Stay tuned for lots of upcoming information on the 2021 season in the days and weeks to come.

Again, Thank You!

We are sorry to learn of the passing of Gary “A.J. George”. He lost his battle with COVID-19 this morning.

Many may not know this but it was “A.J” who painted the original “Five Mile Point Speedway” on the backstretch wall in the late 70’s.

“A.J.” was a racing icon that lettered many race cars over the years, taught mechanical engineering and most recently became a huge short track racing historian. He was involved with a number of area car shows as well and always loved short track racing.
