Age Group:

Currently, we cater to players born after 2011, making us (as of 2024) a 12u team. Our Philosophy:

We emphasize the development of fundamental skills, game intelligence, and strong character. Our goal is to help our players grow into well-rounded individuals who excel in all aspects of life. Coaching and Training: With 15 years of combined coaching experience from former college baseball and softball players, we provide year-round training that enhances fundamentals, introduces new skills, and fosters a deep understanding of the game. Practices are held at various fields within 20 minutes of Kittanning, including the AHS softball field, the AiA Facility, and Bases Loaded. Our Achievements:

As a relatively new team, we aim to finish this season around a .500 record. We have already secured two fourth-place finishes and came close to a second-place finish at the Hoodlebug tournament. We seek challenging tournaments to push our players while also ensuring they experience the joy of winning. Practice and Competitions:

We practice year-round, with breaks around holidays and a short off-season after tournament season. Practices typically last 1.5 to 3 hours, with additional time for pitchers and catchers. We participate in at least three fall tournaments, a potential winter league, and six or more spring/summer tournaments, including at least two overnight tournaments. Additional Activities:

Our team enjoys various events such as holiday parties, team-building activities, pool parties and more to strengthen our bond and create a supportive community. Academic and Personal Growth:

Academics are a priority. We encourage our players to complete their schoolwork and study for tests to avoid missing practices. We are understanding of our players' developmental stages and provide a supportive environment free from negative and me, me, me, attitudes. Team Culture:
Teamwork and Hustle!!! Hustle: To have the determination and the drive to get what you want in life no matter what it takes!!! Give us everything you got every day, you wont regret it! We live by the motto: There is no I in Team. We are all superstars here. Commitment to the team is essential. We expect our players to prioritize River's Fury while also participating in other sports and activities. Our team culture is built on dedication, hard work, and mutual support. Dedication means showing up, and being present. Both at practice and at games! We will work you, we will expect a lot out of you. But we will also promise to keep it light, and keep it fun! Player Development:

Our approach to player development starts with assessing each player's strengths and weaknesses. We focus on improving fundamentals and developing team cohesion through consistent practice and strategic play. Our goal is for each player to become 1% better every day, and we encourage them to follow the rule of 100 hours outside of our practices! (Yes I stole this idea from you Wes!! Our 9u coach)

Travel Arrangements and Expenses:

Travel arrangements are managed by the team manager, while expenses are covered by the players' parents or guardians. The team entry fee does not include travel costs. Support System:

We are dedicated to supporting our players and their families in any way we can, though we are volunteers and may have limitations.
