Not the finish we were chasing—but still something to be proud of. Our boys brought home the Finalist ring this weekend, and they earned every bit of it through grit, hustle, and sticking together.
But the biggest win didn’t happen on the field.
After the tournament, a big group of us went out to eat. Somewhere in the middle of all the noise and laughter, we found out that a complete stranger had quietly paid the entire tab for our team. No recognition, no spotlight—just pure generosity.
That moment hit different.
Our boys got to see firsthand that there are still good people out there doing the right thing when no one’s watching. And more importantly, they learned what it means to carry that forward.
We talk a lot about building ballplayers—but moments like this remind us we’re really building young men.
We’ll take this lesson with us:
Work hard. Stay humble. And when you get the chance—pay it forward.

The Knoxville Misfits are rolling in as the #1 seed for tomorrow’s NCS Sandlot Sports Baseball tournament at Holston Chilhowee fields.
This group has put in the work—early mornings, late practices, and showing up when it counts. Now it’s time to compete.
First pitch is set for 1:00 PM.
If you’ve been following this team, you already know the heart they bring every time they step on the field.
Let’s show these boys some support—drop them some good luck and encouragement in the comments before they take the field.
LETS GO MISFITS 🩷💛💙
