WB Fishing Team

Congratulations Brantley!! We are so proud of you!! Yesterday was a tough day and he represented William Blount Fishing Team well. He is our youngest angler on the team! This was the first tournament that he was able to weigh in - and he did just that! His smile said it all when he was walking up to the scales - and everyone else around him was smiling for him!! In his words “I caught a tank!” Keep on fishing young man!!

Today at the Bass Pro Shops-Sevierville, TN. High School Tournament Series on Cherokee lake…..This young man from William Blount had a big day. Today was the first tournament he was able to weigh a keeper.
This is why we do what we do.


Bass Pro Shops

We had an informal meeting/get together Friday night for the anglers on the fishing team this year. Sure missed the ones that weren’t able to be there. Really loved seeing the older ones helping out the younger ones.

WB Fishing Team fun night for team members on Friday, March 8th @ 6:00 at WBHS Cafeteria. If all anglers could bring one rod & reel that would be great. Jerseys will be available on Friday. We will also have pizza & prizes. Please RSVP by Wednesday so we know how many pizzas to order. Contact Coach Steve or Coach Joe for questions.

I apologize for being late in posting pictures and results from the Bass Pro tournament this past Saturday - but better late than never!!

Abram Barbee and Hunter Johnson weighed in 2 fish for a total of 3.22 finishing 26th out of 209.

Nolan Smither and Grayson Love weighed in 1 fish for 1.26 finishing 73rd out of 209.

Here are the boat numbers for the tournament tomorrow at Ft Loudon at the canal ramp. Blast off is at 8:00 am with the first flight due back in at 2:00 pm. Good luck to all the anglers!! Be safe!

Reminder: WB Fishing Team will be having a meeting tomorrow night, Monday, October 23rd, from 5:30-7:00 in the WBHS cafeteria. ALL team fees must be paid & all beef jerky money will be due.

Also, please make sure to bring your B.A.S.S membership number with you.

Although we don’t know these young men personally, it still hits us hard when it’s a fellow fisherman and team. Please join us in prayer as we pray for the families of the two anglers that were involved in an accident that took their lives. Please join us in praying for their fellow teammates and their friends and families that are left behind. Lord please wrap your arms of love, comfort, and strength around them and be there for them in the coming days ahead.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of Travis Ely and Hunter Heckman. As we know more information, we will share it with all the angling community members. Once again, please keep those affected in your prayers in this difficult time.
