10 years ago I moved to Tennessee to shoot for Team Norsemen. In those 10 years, lots of great things have happened because of shooting. I've won a few matches, got a few GMs, got to travel a bunch, and I've met a lot of people that I not only call good friends, but I call them family. This is all because of the founder of Team Norseman, Eric Matson. He got me started in competitive shooting, showed me the ropes, and even taught me how to actually hold a handgun. But, it was time for Eric to retire and move to be closer to his grandkids. This meant he wasn't going to be able to be as involved with Team Norsemen as much as he has been. So, he has asked me to take the reins as the new head of Team Norsemen. To which I excitedly accepted! Eric will of course still be a vital part of the team as Titular Owner and one of our team shooters. I want to thank Eric for starting and building Team Norsemen and growing it to what it is today. I hope I can continue to grow the team, bring more titles in, and help more people. I'm looking forward to the new adventure!

It was an AMAZING weekend at the Smith & Wesson 2025 U.S. Rimfire Nation Nationals held at Windrock Shooting Range & Training Center. Hats off to all of the Team Norsemen members and volunteers that made the match run smoothly. We appreciate the support of all our sponsors and awesome Team Norsemen teammates.

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our Team Norsemen teammate Jimmy Harrison. Jimmy was a remarkably gifted individual with a diverse range of talents and an unshakeable commitment to helping others. We will deeply miss our beloved friend. Jimmy, your presence made the world a more wonderful place.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at Berry Highland West, 9913 Sherrill Blvd, Knoxville, TN 37932. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 22, 2025 in Berry Highland West Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made in Jimmy's name to Norwood Elementary School at 809 East Tri County Blvd, Oliver Springs, TN 37840.
