What a day?! For Knoxville to send three teams to Greenville in a year where we’re celebrating our ten year anniversary, it’s an incredible testament to our club culture, our generous spirit and the love of playing ball with good people! So proud of our effort from all three panels! We first came down to Greenville in 2017 with six players. Oh how far we have come 🤌

Massive shout out to for another well organized tournament and for keeping the trophy home. Well played, lads! Up Knoxville

Here’s our next round of new player spotlights 🙌

Paris Hoover:
Paris has been playing for about a year, but this is her first full season. Soccer was her favorite sport growing up, with swimming being a close second! If Paris could have lunch with anyone, dead or alive, she says it would be Niall Horan. Paris says that her favorite part of being involved with the KGAC is, “having a competitive outlet with quality people!! The combination of the two rarely occur in adulthood and this team has brought so much joy to my life!”

Ethan Daniels:
Ethan has been playing hurling for 9 months! His favorite sport growing up was baseball and had to throw in a, “Go Braves!” If Ethan could have lunch with anyone in history, it would be Anthony Bourdain. “He showed that one of the best ways to understand people and culture that are different than yours, is to share a meal with them.” Lastly, Ethan says that the best part of being involved with the KGAC is the community and getting to travel to play hurling with his friends.

Two more of Knoxville’s newer players 🤙

Malachi Beckner:
Malachi started playing hurling about a year ago. His favorite sport growing up was skateboarding, and he says if he was an animal, Malachi would be a mallard. “They’re an overall quality duck, with their green heads.” His favorite thing about the KGAC is the people. He mentions that everyone has always been welcoming of new players and are always willing to help people be better at hurling. Malachi brings a great dry sense of humor and desire to contribute to the club in ways that are appreciated.

Rebecca Yaklic:
Rebecca has been playing camogie since May 2025 and was an early leader in the development of the team. Her favorite sport growing up was rowing (crew), but Rebecca’s favorite sport to watch was soccer. If she could be any animal, it would be a bat. “Getting to fly around would be amazing, but I would also get a kick out of being so intimidating to other people. Bats aren’t everyone’s cup of tea, but I find them so fascinating and fun!” Rebecca’s favorite part of the KGAC has been getting to build a community of wonderful people, and getting to spend time with her friends on a weekly basis! She brings an impressive level of skill and competitive spirit to Knoxville Camogie, especially for someone who hasn’t been playing long.

Next up on our player spotlights…

Nick Valinski:
Nick has been playing hurling around a year now. His favorite sport growing up was soccer. When asked, if he was a beverage what would he be, Nick said he’d be Malort (iykyk). He says his favorite part of the KGAC is the community, hands down. Nick mentions that it’s a great opportunity to grow and learn together and no one feels left out. We’re happy to hear him mention that the KGAC has been an accepting and positive group in his life!

Nick has shown a significant amount of improvement over his first year, a credit to him, and adds a lot to our club.

Haley Pace:
Haley has been playing camogie since June of 2025. She loved playing softball growing up, but mentions that she played pretty much any sport she could get her hands on. If she was a drink, she says she’d be a sour beer, not everyone’s cup of tea, but the ones that get it, get it. Haley says her favorite thing about the KGAC is the people, such a wonderful group to be around!

Haley’s background of competitive sports has shown bright from the get go. She plays with an appreciated level of aggression and has been an impact player for Knoxville Camogie.
