Wow Factor Softball - TN Elite 8U

A little late on the updates, but we’ve been busy.

On April 26, we stayed local in Knoxville and brought home the Platinum Bracket Championship, going 4-0 and outscoring opponents 55-10 out of 10 teams.

On May 9, we traveled to Hendersonville, NC for the Mother's Day Tournament and finished as runners-up. It wasn't our best weekend, but this team never quit, battled through adversity, and still finished .500. Losing only by 1 run in the championship.

On May 23, some of the team enjoyed a trip to Neyland Stadium to watch the Savannah Bananas and make memories off the field together.

After a rainout, we stayed local and played on May 31. Once again, these girls were lights out, capturing the Gold Bracket Championship and earning redemption against a team that beat us by one run in Georgia last month. They finished 4-0 on the day and outscored opponents 46-17.

As we prepare for the move to 10U this fall, we're excited about what's ahead. The growth, effort, and determination this group shows every weekend is special. One thing that stands out about this team is how close they are to breaking through every time they compete-every championship game we've lost this season has been by one run.

We couldn't be prouder of these competitors and we're excited to see what's next for this special group. We wouldn’t want to do this with any other group of coaches, parents or girls. Let’s go WF!

Doesn’t happen often, but we’re local this weekend on a Sunday at Willow Creek Youth Park for the Spring Fling Tournament hosted by Tennessee Fastpitch - East. We open up at 9am against Thunder and are back at 1:15pm vs Diamond Divas, with bracket play to follow.

These girls battled their way to a Top 3 finish in the Gold bracket this weekend against some talented competition in Georgia💪

Came up just one run short of the championship in a hard-fought, back-and-forth slugfest. Sometimes it really does come down to one more ball finding a gap—and this time, we were just one hit away.

But wow… the way these girls showed up 🔥
Diving plays. Big-time outfield grabs. Our SS, Nola Wyatt put on an absolute performance with not just 1 but a few ESPN top 10 plays. And a first for us, an out-of-the-park 2-run bomb by Layla Qureshi 💣 absolutely crushed it over the CF fence. Every game these girls were celebrated, awed, by opposing teams, fans and the umpires.

We could not be more proud of their competitiveness, energy, and heart all weekend. This group is so special.

Back to work this week… we’re not done yet.
