Saturday 3/28/26 our WF TN Select 12u girls took the field’s in Fort Payne, Alabama in their first tournament together as a team. Going 1-3 on the day.
Game one vs. Connections loss
Game two vs. Cyclones loss
GAME THREE BLOW OUT Vs Outlaws 12u WF coming out on top with a 10-0 win.
Game four a hard fought game against Georgia Flames with a loss of 2-5.
What we saw in Alabama was where we need to work, where we need to improve, where our girls excelled, and the grit and drive these girls have. Huge shout outs to Brylynn Lossius, Stella Horne, and Averi Conway for their outstanding performances pitching and batting. Another shout out to Talia Nolker for her incredible performance at catcher and in the field.
Jenna Stone came in clutch with an outstanding performance at first base and incredible patience in her at bats. Makenna Humphrey came in hard at shortstop and Second base with a good glove and incredible decision making skills on plays. Scylla Kilgore was smart during her at bats advancing runners and getting the ball in fast in her time in center field. Gemma Wyatt was all over some hot pitches and sound judgement calls and a great glove at 3rd. Zoey Blake an incredible performance at 3rd and smart at bat decisions. And last but not least, in her first ever softball debut after a few practices and a few private lessons with her coaches… Miss Lilah Alexander.. game one, deep fly ball caught in right field.. first run scored on the day, consistent on base presence drawn in walks, and only ONE strike out on the day. Lilah we are so incredibly proud of you, kid! We are proud of every single one of these girls! Time to rest, regroup, and get back at in Ringgold, GA in our next tourney!
