Kodiak Storm Softball

Kodiak Storm gain experience in Juneau A group of island softballers spent the weekend in Juneau playing in the Seven V Seven Arena Ball tournament.

The girls played hard today. Started off with 12U in 5th and 14U in 4th, both ended in 3rd place at the end of the tournament.

The 12U (10U age) girls won their first game against Ketchikan Rain Devils 12U, but fell to the Midnight Suns 1st place team.

The 14U girls also won their first game against the Ketchikan Rain Devils 14U, but fell to the Sitka Riptide 2nd place team.

Both Storm teams put it all on the field. With only a two year program, Storm is starting to make a name for themselves. Great job ladies.

Pool play for the Juneau 7v7 tournament.

Four games down for each team, these southeast teams came to play. The 12U girls fought hard against these much older teams, making some great plays and hitting off the fast pitches. The 14Us were making contact with two home runs and a few doubles, while defending the diamond. Tomorrow’s games are starting at 1100, for single elimination.

12U placed Fifth. 0-4
14U placed Fourth. 2-2

The 12U games will begin this morning at 9:30 against the Sitka Riptide.

The 14U games will begin this afternoon at 3:30 against the Juneau Midnight Suns.
