EDITED: We are thrilled to edit this post to inform you all that we have a family taking over KK!! We are so glad to see this continue in our community!
In 2021, these kids were the first ever participants in Kid Kickers soccer camp. What started as a cost-efficient way for the little brothers and sisters to get their chance to play has proudly continued to grow Union soccer players for 5 years. Hundreds of kids have benefitted from this opportunity.
Unfortunately, we are running out of time to find someone to take it over, as the families that have run it over the years are moving on. It is pretty much a plug and play at this point—a system is in place for registrations and vendors, videos and directions are available to run stations, and middle and high schools kids are always willing to help coach and/or ref.
We need a coordinator. Without a coordinator, there will be no Kid Kickers this fall.

We've been getting some inquiries on practice times. You should have more information in the next week or two. For reference--1st-4th grade teams are divided by town and practice in their respective towns. 5th-8th grade teams are Union teams and have one practice in Dysart and one in LPC each week.
If you have a goalie or aspiring goalie, Coach Simon does plan to host goalie practices in LPC on Sundays again. More information coming soon!

⚽️ 2026-2027 CEDAR VALLEY REC SOCCER REGISTRATION IS OPEN!
-Open for Union Community School District students in grades 1st-8th. Registration closes on July 22.
-Season usually runs from August-October and March-May. Games are generally played on Saturdays in Dysart, LaPorte City and surrounding communities (AP, Cedar Falls DNH, GR, Grundy Center, Hudson, Janesville, Jesup, Traer, Waterloo)
-Coaches are parent volunteers.

We are currently about 60 kids short of our 25-26 registration numbers. Don't forget to log into your Playmetrics account and complete registration by July 22 (next Wednesday!!)
