What a fun summer that will be remembered for the rest of our lives!

Words cannot really express the excitement, joy, and heartache that we all experienced this summer.

The boys and the coaches put in so much work their entire summer and it truly paid off. Every player grew as an athlete and as a young man and we are so happy that we had the opportunity to watch the growth!

It has been some of the hottest baseball this group of boys have ever played.
Yesterday it was 99° and it felt like we had gone through a cold front! 🥵😂

But as hot as it has been, Callaway Blue has made it easy for us to stay hydrated!!

BASEBALL UPDATE - TROUP ALL-STARS COME UP BIG AT WORLD SERIES

With their backs against the wall, the Georgia all-stars came out swinging.
After falling to Texas on Saturday, Georgia came into Sunday’s game against Florida knowing it was win or go home.
Georgia, formerly the Troup National all-stars, started quickly and never looked back on the way to a 12-1 victory on day three of the Dixie Youth Baseball 11-12-year-old World Series in Ruston, La.
Georgia will play Louisiana on Monday morning as it looks to move a step closer to a World Series championship.
At the state tournament, Troup National took care of business, beating Perry 10-0 in the championship game to earn the right to represent Georgia in the World Series.
In the World Series, Georgia thumped Tennessee 10-3 in its opening game on Friday before losing to Texas 15-3 on Saturday.
Georgia shrugged off that disappointment and eased past Florida in an elimination game.
Georgia scored two runs in the top of the first inning to go on top, and it added five more runs in the second inning to take a commanding 7-0 lead.
Georgia remained in control the rest of the way, and the game ended after five innings because of the run rule.
Wyatt Martin and Hunter Jordan were spectacular on the mound, combining to throw a five-inning no-hitter.
Martin started and pitched three innings, and six of the nine outs he recorded were strikeouts.
The only base runner Florida had against Martin came on a hit by pitch in the first inning.
Hunter Jordan finished things off with two dominant innings, and after Florida scored an unearned run in the fourth inning, it went down in order in the bottom of the fifth.
Georgia banged out 14 hits, and eight different players had at least one hit.
That included Wyatt Martin, who in addition to his great work on the mound, had three doubles and two RBIs.
Taeden Pope also had three hits and two RBIs, Connor Arrington had two hits including a double with two RBIs, and Bryson Pike had two hits and two RBIs.
Ben Brown had a double and an RBI, AJ Griffith had a hit an RBI, Peyton Spears and Ezra Cook each had a hit, and Cameron Poe and Hunter Jordan each scored a run.
In the state tournament and World Series combined, the Georgia (Troup National) all-stars now have a record of 6-2, and they've won three consecutive elimination games.

What. A. Game.

Team Georgia had a total of 14 hits against Florida with a final score of 12-1!

We play Louisiana tomorrow morning at 9am central!!

It was a tough loss against Texas today.

Right before our game started, one of our favorite coaches got hit during BP, had to go to to the hospital and get a few stitches, and missed the game. We are so thankful he’s tough, doing good, and will be back tomorrow…. Probably not throwing BP! 😉

Now we are ready for our comeback tomorrow against Florida!

Team Georgia fought hard in the heat today and got a win against a tough Tennessee team! 10-3 Final

Bonus- we had the cutest cheerleaders too!

We play tomorrow at 1:00 central against Texas!
