Our Silver Knights are returning back to championship race at Talladega!

Help Us Raise $600 for a Talladega Garage! 🏁

We are hoping to raise $600 to rent a garage for race day. Having a garage last year made a huge difference for our students. It gave them a home base, protected our equipment, and was especially helpful when it rained. We truly want to give our students the best experience possible.

Any support is greatly appreciated!

All money will be collected at Ethel Kight and sent in as 1 payment.

If donating by check, please make checks payable to EKES with “Greenpower” in the memo line.

Any excess money beyond what Is needed to get a garage will be used for team needs and support the program.

Today’s practice included: casting out all the ideas for fundraisers, driving (until our final drive tire decided to bust- expected), and working hard on the car design.

Awesome job to Linden Todd and Daphne López who placed 2nd in the Vroom Kids competition!

They each received a Minolta 5K Ultra HD Action Cam Kit.

Other participants were Evan Kusiak and Dakarion Broughton

5th grade- car 75- made top 10!

Car 74- our 4th grade team did amazing today, but unfortunate rear axle issues plagued the speed. They did amazing though, drove well, and had a great first ever race!

Anyone want to help fix a rear axle? (Joking- yet serious at the same time 🤪🤣)

Our Silver Knights team members are representing well at the Vroom Kids competition that is taking place tonight and tomorrow during our Match in the Patch racing event.

Great creativity and teamwork being displayed.

They get to design the body panel of a Goblin car and race it as well.

Such an amazing opportunity for them.
