This is showing up for myself again and keeping my promises to myself. This is prioritizing sleep, prioritizing nutrition, moving my body again. This is 4.25 mile walks every morning and consistent 30 minutes daily of mat Pilates, lifting 4-5 days a week, and 1 restorative yoga class a week. This is finally working quite literally with a company that is family and being successful. This is healing after too many years of staying in a toxic environment. It took me awhile to get here but 45 year old Katie did well. 46 year old Katie is going to light the world on fire 🔥. Happy Aries season yall ♈️

Have you noticed that the occurrence of rides being down is more frequent? I thought it was just me making that observation, but according to the Wall Street Journal based on the statistics from three amusement park data providers, unplanned ride stoppages and wait times are on the rise.
Average monthly ride stoppages rose 58% at Disneyland from 2018 to 2022 as of late September and rose 42% at Walt Disney World over the same period, according to WDW Stats, a website that tracks the status of rides at Disney parks and logs how long interruptions last.
Of course, Disney disputed the notion that stoppages and wait times have risen and claims that Disney’s ride reliability remains strong and is consistent with prior years.
I am hoping that this one one is the things that Iger prioritizes in the parks, because that could make a substantial change in how the experience feels. Instead of the already crowded parks feeling more crowded when a ride goes down and people disperse and make the other lines even longer, at least having everything in proper working would be less frustrating… now if we can only get Disco Yeti to function…

This is a Peoplemover appreciation post. Also a continuation of my thought from earlier this week.
The juxtaposition of the witnessing the construction of Tron from the comfort of the Peoplemover reminds me of when I was little and was too afraid of roller coasters. 🎢
My first coaster experience was as a skinny 6 year old on BTM and I sat with my best friend at the time. I seem to remember a seatbelt that wasn’t tight enough and the feeling like we were going to fly out of the cart to our peril and doom. Because of that I refused to go with my dad and brother on Space Mountain for the longest time so my mom would take me on the Peoplemover instead.
To this day everytime I ride Peoplemover I love that we got to experience a part of Space Mountain to some extent, and as I got older I was thankful for the air conditioned part of it.
When I think of why I loved WDW growing up, it wasn’t the mountains or ToT thrills, but rather the tamer rides that my whole family could enjoy together. Because of course, you don’t just ride Peoplemover once and it never gets old… When you think of a Disney park, what are the first few rides that pop up in your mind? Does Peoplemover also make that list?

Have you ever met a Disney IG friend in real life? I was inspired by ‘s story this morning about not being afraid to say hi to your IG friends in real life.
When we first met it was so serendipitous because it was unexpected. I was grabbing popcorn by the cart right at the entrance of Magic Kingdom when she saw and recognized me. Totally unexpected and so great to get to hug a friend in real life.
So that got me to thinking if you have met an IG friend in real life, and especially perhaps if you have met quite a few, which park do you meet the most friends in? For me it is Epcot. Follow up question, do you think it is easier to run into a friend at one park more than the others?
Moral of the story is please say hi, it would be lovely to meet you. I have been very blessed to have met so many of my friends from here.

I have a surprising solution for the Animal Kingdom half day park problem. Don’t give us more massive thrilling rides that take 5 years to complete. If you know me then you know I am a rides person and you might be questioning my sanity. ⭐️
Here’s the thing, do I absolutely love Cosmic Rewind and the unexpected thrills that it delivers? 💯 Do I absolutely love Expedition Everest with Disco Yeti? 💯 Am I excited about Tron opening? 💯 Did my family and I wait in line at 4am when Rise of the Resistance opened? 💯 🚨
As much as anyone, I love the big exciting thrilling rides, but with the exception of Rise, not everyone in my family can or wants to go on those rides. Instead of focusing on something big and flashy, when is the last time that Disney gave us an omni-mover? I would love to see something my whole family would enjoy, instead of my mom having to sit out another ride, or the kiddos wanting to skip something because it is too scary.
Give us 2 great family friendly rides in Dinoland with compelling narratives that draw us into the story. Shoot, I would be cool if they kept the 🦕 theme and put together a park exclusive cute story. Later they can work on IP around that concept…Also, while we are at it how about a dark boat ride featuring the sensational six in their adorable explorer outfits as they team up and discover a whole new species of dinosaur on their excavation? They can call it Daisy’s Dig Discovery! 🦖

What is the point of posting photos to IG anymore? 📸
This is a question I have been struggling with a lot recently. I miss seeing everyone’s pictures. I miss engaging with captivating captions. I want to still enjoy IG as much as I used to but it’s been a struggle. I have made some really good friends on here which is what keeps me here, but when I don’t see their content much it just gets disheartening. Thoughts? Advice?

When I was a little girl I was always in awe of the castle and the magic that surrounded Walt Disney World. I was so proud as a Floridian that people would travel all around the world to come to this special place… I still feel that way, but the magic I’m seeing today isn’t in the Disney bubble. 🏰
That honor goes to the people who are tirelessly working to help my state recover from the hurricane. It’s the 42,000 lineman who came to restore power. It is all the people assisting in rescue. It’s all the people help clean up all the debris. It’s the people organizing, and delivering food, water, and necessities to those in need. It’s those who are helping others who are displaced because their homes are unlivable right now. I am proud of my neighbors who are helping our neighbors. These are the people renewing and restoring my faith in humanity. 🪄

If you are in WDW, I do sincerely hope you are enjoying the celebration. The weather looks unbelievable, what a juxtaposition this week has been. I am sure many people can use a little sunshine and joy in their lives right now. Furthermore, I hope that if you are there you realize what an immense privilege that is currently. 🇲🇽 🇳🇴 🇨🇳 🇩🇪 🇮🇹 🇺🇸 🇯🇵 🇲🇦 🇫🇷 🇬🇧 🇨🇦
Also perhaps you might consider helping Florida. I have lived here my entire life and I don’t think we’ve ever seen a hurricane that created so much widespread damage across the state. It is beyond heartbreaking and devastating.
