Yesterday wasn’t easy, but if there’s one thing these kids showed, it’s heart.

12U, y’all battled through more than just a baseball game. You faced adversity from every direction and never stopped competing. That kind of toughness can’t be measured by a scoreboard, and I’m so proud of each and every one of you.

11U, yesterday is behind you. The best part about baseball is that it gives you another chance. Today is your opportunity to write a different ending. Trust each other, play loose, and go have fun.

At Mid City, we don’t let one day define us. We show up, we keep believing, and we keep moving forward.

Today is going to be a GOOD day for Mid City baseball!

Our 11U All-Stars finally make their debut at 4 PM, and I can’t wait to watch these boys and girl hit the field. If you know this team, you know they play with heart and a whole lot of personality! ⚾💜

Now… Coach Daryll and Coach Trish… 🤣 If you know, YOU KNOW! I’m convinced those two can find two different ways to coach the same play every single time. 😂 They may keep us laughing with their back-and-forth, but one thing is for surethey both love these kids and they both want to win. That’s what makes them so fun to watch.

Then you’ve got Coach Des, who’s guaranteed to have everybody laughing before the game is over. 😂

And don’t forget our 12U All-Stars! 💜 They’re back at 4 PM continuing their journey. They’ve already shown us what they’re made of, and I know they’re ready to put on another show.

What a joy it was to watch this team today!

They worked together, prayed together, and played together. Seeing the smiles on their faces, the way they encouraged one another, and how much fun they had was absolutely priceless.

Congratulations on an incredible 14-3 win! Y’all showed up, trusted each other, and took care of business. Now it’s time to rest up because the job isn’t finished yet.

We’re so proud of every player, every coach, and every parent who’s been part of this journey.

What a ride it has been.

Of course we’re sad it didn’t end the way we hoped, but that doesn’t take away how proud we are of this group of young men. Y’all fought hard, made it to Regionals, and gave this community something to cheer for.

Sometimes the ending isn’t the one you wanted, but the journey is still something to be proud of.

To our Seniors, thank you for representing Mid City with heart, hustle, and class. To our coaches, thank you for pouring into these boys. To our parents and supporters, thank you for every sacrifice, every prayer, every mile traveled, and every word of encouragement.

Hold your heads high, boys. Not because of how the season ended, but because of everything you accomplished to get here.
