The story behind a B29 bomber at the bottom of Lake Mead

This was a fun project with Troy Hayden from 12 News in Phoenix and Scuba Training & Technology. Some of you may have seen it live after the Super Bowl on Sunday. The B29 Bomber in Lake Mead is a National protected Monument and is incredibly well preserved even as lake levels have fallen over the last few years. I have been fortunate to have dived this site for the last 10 years and every time we take new divers on it, it’s worth it.

This was a quick evening recovery for a customer who lost their phone in the Lake Havasu Marina. Couldn’t see a whole lot down there, but I could hear the alarm that was still going off on the phone!

This customer reached out to us after losing their phone in the morning. We met them back in the dock and retrieved it quickly.

On Wednesday afternoon, Havasu Diver received a call for a vessel that got their anchor stuck in a tree. Since the boat used an anchor winch and chain their only choice was to cut the chain or call us to come help them out. We had a boat in the water heading to assist them in less than 40 minutes. We motored down past Havasu Palms, got them set free and had a beautiful sunset on the way home.

Another successful recovery this afternoon at the Site 6 docks! Jared gave us a call and we were there in less than 20 minutes. Quick efficient service as always.
