I want to thank first all of the amazing volunteers who poured their heart and soul into the celebration of life for Virginia Hawthorn. It was incredible working by your sides. And to all of you who came to celebrate this beautiful being who touched so many lives. My wish is that we keep her memory alive and well in continuing our support of the love of her life, Rick Hawthorn and also the future of the Valley View Vaulters. This organization needs must be able to continue its work in the support of people of special needs and our returning military suffering from PTSD.
Virginia, you will be so dearly missed. I will never forget my times with you and Rick. My prayers go out to all of the Valley View family. I so wish I could attend on Saturday, but sadly will not be able to. I am sending Love and Hugs to all of you.

Hello Friends and Fans of Rick and Virginia Hawthorne,

Some of you may know that Virginia is dealing with health issues of late including a recent heart attack and this is putting a strain on the Hawthorne household and Valley View Vaulters. Rick and Virginia have meant so much to and done so much for vaulting that I'm sure many of you have been wondering how you could help them. To that end, we have created a unique fundraiser. We thought we'd introduce you to a company that Rick and Virginia have partnered with, Lifevantage, and share information with you about their awesome science based products. Take a look at the attached videos and photos then check out Rick's website below and order what you'd like. This fundraiser is a win-win situation. You will find wonderful products for yourself, friends, family and animals you love and you'll be helping the Hawthornes in a time of need.

First, take a look at what Protandim and Petandim (Canine Health) can do for animals. Remember, they have no placebo effect.

Next, vaulters spend a lot of time out in the sun. You need exceptional skin care to counteract those damaging sun rays. Check out the pictures attached (below) and see what the True Science Skin Care line can do for your skin.

Want thicker, more beautiful hair? Check out the True Science Hair Care System before and after photos.

And finally, hear what ABC Investigative Reports has to say about Lifevantage's flagship product, Protadim.

https://youtu.be/0LMzRQ4lKfo

You can get any of these products and more at Rick's website: http://ricklhawthorne.lifevantage.com/

You will get the best price, the wholesale price, by signing up with a subscription. This will provide ongoing benefit to you and to Valley View but you are also free to cancel at anytime, no questions asked. If you are not comfortable with a subscription, retail pricing is available for one time orders but really, why pay more when you can cancel your subscription at any time?

Thank you in advance for your willingness to support the Hawthornes in their time of need. We can all band together to help them get through this.
Inclusion in Vaulting

Here at Valley View Vaulters we work with people of all abilities and ages in an inclusive environment. We find that including people with disabilities with their peers provides numerous benefits such as higher self-esteem, increased motivation, and improved communication. In addition, this therapeutic environment sets the vaulter up for success.

However, the person with the disability is not the only one to benefit from the inclusive environment. We have found that vaulters who are taught alongside their disabled peers generally have a greater awareness of diversity, are more responsible, and show improved performance.

The relationships that form in this environment are full of respect and encouragement, where the vaulters challenge one another and continue to grow, learn, and form a love for vaulting.

R.F.Bentley AKA "Ben" has officially been retired. Ben has been a staple in the vaulting world carrying his team as well as helping others along the way. He has such a kind old soul that can't be replaced. Feel free to come by and show him love as watches over everyone at Valley View. As Hudson and Buddy are keeping us moving as our team grows we are in search of an additional WarmBlood/Cross/Draft to countinue the tradition of Valley View Vaulters. Feel Free to PM us with any leads on a horse. Thank you

I’m sure everyone is exhausted from the homeless people we have to ride past and pray that our horse doesn’t spook and run off or the dog in the car while they’re owner is sleeping or that they don’t step on the beer bottles thrown on the ground. This is an on going problem that is growing the riders and home owners need to band together to resolve this and make our neighborhood safe again for all. Our Story

Valley View Vaulters was started in 1980, with seven vaulters, a practice barrel, and one horse. Since then, our program has expanded at a fast rate in our Lake View Terrace location. Our vaulters range in age from two years through adults, and range in skills from beginners to national champions. Vaulting is truly a sport that is accessible to everyone. You do not need to be a trained gymnast, have the grace of a dancer, or be a skilled equestrian. Our coaches and horses love working with and training people of all ages and abilities!

We are unique in that we are among the few mainstream, competitive vaulting teams that have both vaulters with and without disabilities participating in one inclusive environment, including those with physical/cognitive disabilities, behavioral problems and at-risk youth. Everyone benefits when all abilities are included in the same class. Our classes consist of no more than 10 vaulters of all ages and abilities. This small environment allows our vaulters to learn from one another and truly have the attention of Coach Rick and our volunteers. When guided properly by Coach Rick Hawthorne, vaulting becomes fun and builds up strength, self- esteem, and the necessary skills to work as part of a team with no barriers of age, gender or abilities.

Our program prides itself on being one of the first mainstreamed vaulting teams to a have competed successfully at the American Vaulting Association's National Championships. Throughout the years our team has earned 1st- 5th places in the nation with vaulters of all abilities on our Trot, Canter, or 2-Phase Teams. Additionally, our Individual Vaulters have earned 1st- 10th places in their division at the Nationals and have won Individual National Championships in Trot, Copper, Bronze and Silver Divisions. Over the years we have also earned three National Team Championships at the Trot, Bronze and Silver levels.

At Valley View Vaulters we make use of the horse as a learning tool which helps develop the best in our students. With our concept of working together, we take pride in teaching vaulting to people of all ages and abilities to walk, talk, think, make friends, increase self- esteem and lead more independent and productive lives. Most importantly, we have fun the entire time!
