Lakeland Country Club Swim

There will not be practice today, April 28. We have a pool company doing some (non-visible) upgrades to the pool and we dropped the water level and it may involve setting concrete!
We should be good to go tomorrow.

Parents, Our first meet, next Thursday the 23rd, is at home. We are hosting Tampa Yacht Club and they are a big team! And we would like to make a good showing!
We will need all hands on deck for this one. Recruit as many family members as possible: aunts, uncles, siblings, grandparents, nextdoor neighbors, Sunday school teachers, etc. We will need:
12 lane-timers/button-pushers⏱️
Starter 📢 ,
Timing system operator🖨️ ,
2 ribbon sorters 🥇
5 lane monitors 🏊🏻,
1 runner 🏃🏻
1 person to herd children 🙄,
23 warm bodies to make this run smooth for our kids.

There will be a buffet after the meet!

We are going to cancel practice today, April 7th, for the 8 and unders only. Because the temps will be cold and windy. We want the little ones to enjoy every practice and that's hard when they are freezing!

Don't forget, tomorrow, Sunday March 8th is Swim Team sign up at the Club between 2:00 and 5:00 p.m.
If you can't make it, please contact Coach Terri or myself so we can get you the paperwork and information. First practice date is Tuesday, March 28th.

With this cold weather, I know it doesn't seem like it but it won't be too long before swim practice for the 2026 season begins. So talk to any of your friends at the club that have children and let them know how much fun they can have. Stand by, a sign up date will be posted soon!

If you missed sign up or couldn't make it, no problem just show up at the pool on Monday March 24, and we will sing your children up.
Remember grandchildren are eligible to participate!
