The Storm is coming! Announcing Kevin Bacha!

Kevin is a former Division I tennis player from York, PA—yes, you heard that right, he was once that guy on the court at Campbell University. And just to add a sprinkle of romance to the mix, Kevin and his wife, Kerri, first met at the tender age of 12 while battling it out on the tennis courts of their local club. Thirty years later, they're still serving up love and heading into their 30th anniversary this September. Cue the romantic applause!
When he's not hanging with Kerri or reminiscing about his glory days on the tennis court, Kevin's swinging clubs as a dedicated golfer. He's proudly represented York in the Men’s “War of the Roses” tournaments (yes, that's a thing), proving he’s not just good with rackets. But here's the twist—Kevin’s pickleball journey began with his mom introducing him to the sport, but it wasn't until the pandemic hit that the addiction really took hold. With nowhere else to go, Kevin turned the family’s mini-basketball court into a pickleball paradise. The ultimate pandemic DIY project? Absolutely.
Now, with four kids to keep them busy, life’s never dull. But once the nest was empty, Kevin and Kerri—aka —ramped up their pickleball game and dove headfirst into the senior pro scene, snagging medals along the way. Pickleball wasn’t just a sport; it was Kevin’s personal lifeline to competition. It filled the void, gave him a fresh new mission, and soon, he was drafted to play in the APP Humana Cup & Champion’s Tour from the get-go, as well as the Central PA Pro Pickleball League.
"I’m beyond pumped to meet new people and play for our amazing team owners, Eddie and Marina Anderson!" Kevin says. "Let’s go Team Florida Storm!"

The Florida Storm is excited to introduce Kerri Bacha from York PA!!

Kerri Bacha is a former collegiate Division I tennis player from York, Pennsylvania. She played for N.C. State for 1 ½ years before transferring to Penn State to finish her collegiate career dominating the Atlantic 10 Conference and entering the Big !0 Conference her senior year. After college, Kerri took a 6 year hiatus from tennis until she had the itch to return to competition! After competing on many USTA teams often reaching regional and national levels, a shoulder injury put a halt to tennis. Having the need to compete, she started golfing and played for her country club’s inter-club team. She holds 4 golf championship titles at her club and was chosen to represent York in a “War of the Roses” annual team golf competition for several years. In 2017, an acl tear required surgery so soon after recovering, she had surgery on her shoulder thinking she would return to tennis...THEN, Kerri found pickleball!

While raising her 4 kids with her husband, Kevin, she preached her family motto “Attitude is a Choice” which she carries into her sports competitions. (Of course, all four of her kids play pickleball and are super athletic and competitive!). Once Kerri and Kevin became empty-nesters, they hit the ground running and entered the senior pro world where they met wonderful people who became great friends while earning several medals along the way. Kerri was drafted to play in the APP Humana Cup Champion’s tour since its inception, the Central PA Pro Pickleball League and Kerri also represented the U.S. in the US/Canada Women’s Pro Pickleball Challenge in 2024. Kerri is a PPR certified teaching professional who enjoys sharing her knowledge and passion for the game! She appreciates the sponsorship from Paddletek for providing great paddles and clothes!

“What I love most about pickleball is the social aspect of the game and the friends we develop all over the country who share the love of a sport and the need to compete! I am really looking forward to the new U.S. Legends Sr Pro League and I’m grateful to play for our good friends, Eddie and Marina Anderson on the Florida Storm!!! We’ll bring the heat to get the Storm rolling!!!”

The Florida Storm is excited to introduce Grant Williams from Boone North Carolina!

Pickleball literally changed my life! I started playing around 4 years ago - fell more and more in love with the game, which led me to ultimately opening The Summit, an indoor dedicated pickleball facility serving Boone and the surrounding High Country of North Carolina. When not on court I work as an emergency physician and spend time with my wife Amy and three boys Bryce, Parker, and Jasper. I became eligible for 50+ play this year - pickleball makes me actually excited to get older, amazing. So grateful to be a member of the Florida Storm and ready to compete and make new friends.

The Florida Storm is bringing the thunder with Conrad Nowak from Chicago Illinois!

Conrad started playing pickleball just over two years ago, falling in love with the game’s nuanced and different skill set compared to his lifelong sport of tennis.

A former D1 collegiate tennis player, he went on to play on the satellite, futures and challenger circuit where he attained an ATP world ranking in doubles. He stayed involved in the sport coaching competitive players of all levels, including a top 110 ATP ranked Davis Cup player.

In 2024, he had a career high ranking of # 36 on the APP Champions doubles rankings and went 5-1 at the APP Champions Cup in senior pro doubles. He was then sidelined for the majority of 2024 after suffering an eye injury during pickleball that caused a retinal detachment requiring emergency surgery. He’s taken the blessing of his second chance in the sport to be a strong advocate for the use of protective eyewear for players of all levels.

His passion for pickleball is fueled by the incredible camaraderie and great people he’s met on his journey. He’s thrilled and humbled to join the incredible players on the Florida Storm and the league as a whole.

Outside of pickleball, Conrad is an Army veteran and works as a trial attorney in Chicago, Illinois, where he is also deeply involved in various civic, cultural and veteran’s advocacy organizations. He is married and the proud father of two boys.

Go Storm!!
