AKKA/Lakewood is a satellite school of AKKA/Pueblo. At this time we offer AM classes only on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for individuals and groups of 4 or less. Chi Kung training is available on scheduled Saturdays for our students. Please read below for more information.

“Reasons You Shouldn’t Join Fit Pros Gym (or AKKA/Lakewood)

In 14 days of low carb dieting, you can lose a little weight and A LOT of water. That looks like 5lbs on the scale. So, there are MANY 14 day challenges.

It takes 6 weeks before you start to change your muscle. But you will notice that your body feels different to the touch. That’s why there are so many six-week challenges.

The first popular fitness challenge was called “Body for Life”; it was 12 weeks long. Bill Phillips worked out that your attention span is only about that long, soooo…, if he started to resell you at 10 weeks hopefully you weren’t bored yet and would sign up again. (Then he started one of the first big supplement brands because selling supplements is even easier.)

Because mastering something takes years.

It’s important to learn the most important thing for:
the growth of your physique,
the development of strength,
the growth of your mindset.

Slower is faster. We ARE teaching a process of transformation and personal mastery; NOT a b***y blast to make you tired. We like our students to be serious about changing their mind, body, habits, and lifestyle to always remain fit. We call this living the fit life.

We want each student to understand the process of our programming that becomes a foundation of transformation and personal mastery; one that will allow you to become the vision you have for yourself.

Because we innovate, we involve mindset, science, education, application, and practice of these methods within our sessions. We live and breathe strength and conditioning for those that truly want to change their life, their current way of thinking, and their current practices. So that we can coach YOU to the results you want, the change that you want to see in YOUR life.

Our programs are organized and are being re-organised using the best practices to enhance the student experience. This means you get the right Information, at the right time, from the right source. We stay up-to-date on fitness practices, theory, and science.

We don’t work with students who are not willing to work in furtherance of their goals and aspirations. Those that like to dabble in training or those who are not committed don’t last long.

If you just started feeling bad/motivated, we are not the program for you. Come see us in two years’ time. *** Fit Pros Gym is ONLY for the hardest worker in the room.

We have many women that we work with in person and online that are moms who are:
single with two kids
who get up at 5am,
have a shake, train till 6:30,
get their kids up feed them,
and have a full day loving their family and working their ass off.

They still track their macros, fill out their programs, show up on their coaching calls or training sessions and inspire all of us to find more effort.

The resourceful, powerful women and men who train with us:
run companies,
help people all day,
take care of family,
coach people,
work in finance,
are artists,
are in the military,
work in mines,
some are even pumpkin farmers.

They all work hard.

We are NOT here to keep you accountable.

Nope.

We are here to teach you resourcefulness. To step into your power. Once you train with us you will do what you want to do in your life. That’s what discipline is! It’s doing what you ACTUALLY want to do in life.

We will tell you to rest.

We aren’t going to flog you and or starve you so that you lose a lot of weight and make us look better in before and after shots. We aren’t going to over train you because we are scared that you won’t get the result you want.

We will challenge you.

We (You and I) are the hardest workers in any room we are in. Sometimes the hardest work is knowing when to rest and be playful. We will keep reminding you of that.

We will hold you to what you say.

When you tell us what you want we will do everything in our power to help you make it happen.

*** One caveat to the above: Fit Pros is not where you would start a conditioning/fitness program if you had never exercised before. It would be better to get your feet wet at … ah… Planet Fitness… or something like that.

Martial arts are a different endeavor. Many people come to train in martial arts with no clue about how, what, or where to start. If you are a complete and total abject beginner, you are welcome at AKKA/Lakewood.

What We Teach

We teach a unique system of Chinese Kenpo developed by Master Tomas Connor and Master Bill Packer. If you have the time, they developed a refined and detailed approach that will leave you mesmerized for decades… if not the rest of your life… whichever comes first.
