Lancaster Boys Golf

The Golf Coaches Association of Wisconsin (GCAW) recently announced the recipients of its 9th annual “Team Academic All-State” award, established to recognize high school golf teams with the highest ‘team’ grade point averages (‘team’ is defined as the five golfers on the roster for the boys’ spring 2022 WIAA regional tournament).

The three teams with the highest cumulative team GPA in each division (1 and 2) are recognized with gold, silver, and bronze medals for each student-athlete, and their schools will receive a certificate to note this accomplishment. Schools with at least a 3.25 team GPA will receive a certificate acknowledging honorable mention status.

The Lancaster boys golf team earned honorable mention status in Division 3. Team members include Fin Hoffman, Ian Klaas, Noah Kirsch, Dan Kelley Jr., Isaac Dhyanchand and Skyler Burkholder.

The Lancaster Varsity Boys Golf team ended their season in 5th place as a team and Noah Kirsch ended in 2nd for the 2022 WIAA Division 3 State Tournament at Blackwolf Run - Kohler. Well done guys! ⛳️ Now enjoy your Summer

LAST TIME: Kettle Moraine won the Division 1 team championship by shooting a four-player, 36-hole score of 598, which was 19 strokes better than runner-up Homestead at 617. Jacob Beckman of Middleton earned individual medalist honors with a 36-hole score of 140, which was 4-under-par at Wild Rock Golf Club in Wisconsin Dells. Edgewood won the Division 2 title for the fourth straight season, not including the 2020 season that was canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Crusaders finished with a four-player score of 637. Lakeland placed second at 654. Ethan Arndt of Edgewood earned medalist honors by firing a 147, which was 3-over-par at Trappers Turn in Wisconsin Dells. Kohler won the Division 3 title by scoring a 659, and Durand was runner-up with a 686.
Noah Kirsch of Lancaster won the individual title with a score of 147, which is 3-over-par at Trappers Turn.

TICKET INFORMATION: Ticket prices for the
State Boys Golf Championships are $9 per day plus online fees, and they are available to be purchased on-line on the WIAA website through GoFan, the WIAA ticketing partner, at: https://gofan.co/app/school/WIAAWI?activity=Golf.

STATE MEET STREAMED LIVE: The ninth and 18th holes of the WIAA State Girls Golf Championships will be streamed live without subscription on the NFHS Network at nfhsnetwork.com/associations/wiaa-wi or WIAA.tv.

THE FORMAT: The competition features eight teams and 12 individuals in Divisions 2 and 3. Weather permitting, all competitors will play 36 holes, including 18 holes on each day. The lowest scores from the first day will have the later tee times Tuesday.

THE FIELD: In Divisions 2 and 3, the top two teams from each of the four sectionals qualify. The top three individuals, who are not members of a qualifying team in each sectional, also qualify for the meet.

Team Academic All-State & Honorable Mention

Lancaster High School student-athletes continue to excel on the playing field as well as in the classroom.

The 2021 Lancaster boys golf team has earned Team Academic All-State honors by the Golf Coaches Association of Wisconsin. The Flying Arrows earned honorable mention status by maintaining at 3.25 GPA.

Lancaster's Noah Kirsch, Dan Kelley, Matthew Hughey, Isaac Dhyanchand and Ian Klaas each earned individual accolades as well.

Noah Kirsch will compete in the WIAA Division 3 boys golf championships today at tomorrow at Trappers Turn Golf Club in Wisconsin Dells. Competition begins at 8:30 a.m.

The Lancaster track and field team will host a WIAA Division 3 regional this afternoon. Field events are scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m., followed by running even#FlyingArrowPride

The Lancaster softball team will take on Brodhead in a WIAA Division 3 regional semifinal this afternoon. First pitch from Brodhead is scheduled for 5 p.m.

The Lancaster Fire Department will be celebrating Noah Kirsch with a send-off this afternoon in advance of the WIAA Division 3 boys golf championships, which begin Monday.

The parade will begin at Lancaster High School at 5 p.m., continue through Lancaster to and around the square, and conclude at the high school.

Let's hear it for Lancaster golf's Noah Kirsch!

Noah won today's WIAA Division 3 Mineral Point sectional by shooting a 71 (just one over par) at Dodge Point Country Club and qualified for next week's state championships.

The Flying Arrows, who will return every golfer on their roster in 2022, finished third in the 12-team sectional field.

Noah will compete Monday, June 14th and Tuesday, June 15th at Trappers Turn, Wisconsin Dells for State HS Golf.

The Lancaster Boy’s Golf Team finished in 3rd at Sectional at Dodge Point CC with a score of 344. Mineral Point came in first with 327 and Fennimore in 2nd with a 334.
