Got a fun custom request recently- a client wanted to elevate their brand-new fireplace insert and tie it into the stunning stone surround while hiding the exhaust pipe and filling in that awkward hole.
Built this custom metal panel to tie it all together: clean lines and a polished look that makes the whole setup pop!

Proud moment to share today.
For the last few years, I’ve had the privilege of working with Sean Laukhuff to turn his “there’s
got to be a better door stand” idea into a real, production‑ready tool. That tool is now officially
launching as KaddyKat™ from Kaddy Kat Systems.
From the fabrication side, this has been one of the most rewarding projects I’ve worked on. We’ve taken what started as wood and metal prototypes in the shop and refined it into a scissor jack compression stability system built to survive real PDR and auto body abuse.
KaddyKat™ combines:
● A fine‑tune‑adjustable scissor lift
● A secure clamping claw
● Our patent‑pending HAWLASS™ (Height‑Adjustable, Weight‑Load Actuated Stability System) inside a Scissorjack Component Compression Stand (SCCS)
In use, that means one tech can safely remove, stabilize, move, and reinstall vehicle doors with
repeatable control—without wrestling the weight or risking a drop.
Production is now underway, and reservations are open at https://kaddykat.com, with $500 off MSRP during the launch window and a 25% deposit option through February 1, 2026.

Built a progressive jig that holds four 1.5" square tubes at once. Load them in, hit start on the CNC plasma – it rips the side profiles and holes perfectly on all four pieces.
Rotate the bundle 90°, run it again. Four cycles and I’ve got four completely finished leg blanks ready to weld
Then they drop straight into my welding jig for dead-on alignment and quick tacks.
These are the beefy support legs for the big project we’ve been teasing… it’s getting real and it’s getting close!

Just YOLO’d a lathe into the shop!
Zero hours of experience, 100 % “I’ll figure it out” energy.
First week in and I’m already turning axles, drilling, and cutting threads like I know what I’m doing (I mostly don’t, but the parts are coming out round so we’re calling it a win).
Never too late to pick up a new machine and humble yourself all over again.

My buddy had the vision, I refined the design, and together we brought it to life. Plasma-cut from 16-gauge steel, folded crisp on the box & pan brake for clean 3D edges.
He took it home to paint, add plexiglass, and wire in the LED backlighting—and the result is stunning. Perfect ex*****on, man cave ready.

My crafty buddy hit me up with his vision for a custom garage sign, and I brought it to life.
Started with his design, dialed it in on the computer, then let the plasma cutter do its magic on 16 gauge steel. Folded the sides crisp on the box & pan brake for that clean 3D edge.
He’s taking it home to paint, add plexiglass, and wire up LED backlighting—gonna glow like a boss in his man cave.

Surprise Corgi yard ornament for a friend’s buddy.
Grabbed a stock photo, tweaked it in CAD, then plasma-cut two layers from steel.
Black & white base + brown top layer, all powder-coated to match the real dog.
Idea to backyard bling. Who’s next?

Built this custom wall bracket for a friend’s motorcycle tour pack! Cut the metal with my plasma cutter, shaped those crisp bends with the press brake, and he took it home to finish with black paint and fittings. Great collab for his bike setup!

Whipped up a batch of custom metal rings for my buddy’s mini Frisbee golf ground targets!
Had a blast collaborating in the shop to bring this design to life. Can’t wait to see the final setup!
