On September 26, 2026 Mad Man Races hosted the first annual Massey Meadow Half Marathon and 10K race event. We would like to thank all of the runners and volunteers who made this event possible. We wish we could give all of you 1st places trophies. In our mind you all deserve one. Mad Man Races did give top finishers awards to the first three finishers of each distance event. Half Marathon Event: Spectacular trail loop with scenic views of Dry Fork Canyon's Flume Trail and beautiful fall foliage of Massey Meadow in the Uinta Mountains of Ashley National Forest. Several aid and water stations throughout the course, and just a short drive away from Vernal city.

If you are looking for a beautiful view on a challenging course then this is the experience for you. This course offers an elevation gain of 1,533 ft. throughout the run. You will enjoy amazing views of the Flume Trail in Dry Fork Canyon. Truly the fall colors on this trail are some of the best in the Ashley National Forest of the Uinta Mountains.

Course Record Prize: When a course record is broken, the runner who sets a new course record will receive a cash prize. Cash prizes will be given to both male and female whenever a new course record is set.

Tridell Pioneer 5K Fun Run - July 25, 2026

Mad Man Races is excited to announce that they will be hosting the “Tridell Pioneer 5K Fun Run”. This race celebrates the Utah pioneer’s trek to the state and to the Uintah Basin. The details of the race are listed below.

It was a great day at the Marsh Peak Madness 12&6 Hour, 5 Mile Endurance Event!! The weather was perfect, the course was spectacular, and the runners were amazing! Special thanks to all the volunteers at the Start/Finish Area and the aid station along the course. This would not be possible with out you!

The Marsh Peak Madness endurance event and speed run is a spectacular trail loop with scenic views of Marsh Peak and beautiful spring wild flowers and foliage around the high mountain meadows of Gull Lake in the Uintah Mountains. Several aid and water stations throughout the course, and just a short drive away from Vernal city.

Marsh Peak Madness offers two types of events.

Endurance Event - This event has two time limits, 6 hours and 12 hours, that runners can register for. For each time limit participants run the trail loops as many times as they can. If the runner does not complete a loop before their time limit is over that loop will not count. The runner that completes the loop the most times in their time limit wins.

Speed Run - This races is all about speed. The runner that completes the Marsh Peak Madness loop first wins the race.

If you are looking for a beautiful view on a challenging course then this is the experience for you. This course offers an elevation gain of 1,244 ft. throughout the 5 mile run.

You will enjoy amazing views from the top of Lake Mountain looking down into Dry Fork Canyon and of Marsh Peak one of the highest peaks in the High Uintah's.
