What a day at Chimera Golf Club!

We kicked things off at 6:28 AM, which is basically prime time in Las Vegas during August. 😎🌴 And Mother Nature decided to give us a break today — only mid-90s! In Vegas, that practically qualifies as sweater weather. 😂🔥

⛳ CHIMERA DIDN’T DISAPPOINT!

The course was in great shape, especially for the price, and we’re definitely looking forward to bringing LVGA back again.

A BIG shout-out to Ryan Burke and the entire Chimera staff for taking great care of our group. Ryan was incredibly accommodating, and the staff was attentive, friendly, and genuinely cared about making sure our players had a great experience.

☀️⛳ **LVGA SUMMER GOLF SAFETY REMINDER — PLEASE TAKE THE VEGAS HEAT SERIOUSLY!** 🔥

We’ve had a few incidents recently with some of our golfers dealing with the extreme Las Vegas summer heat. Thankfully, nothing serious so far, but I want everyone—especially our older golfers—to take extra precautions.

Golf is supposed to be fun. No round or score is worth risking your health.

When we’re playing in **100°+ Vegas temperatures**, please consider these precautions:

💧 **HYDRATE BEFORE YOU PLAY** — Don’t wait until you’re thirsty. Start drinking plenty of water before your round and continue throughout all 18 holes. Consider electrolytes as well, especially when sweating heavily.

🧊 **BRING ICE & COLD WATER** — Bring an insulated bottle or small cooler with plenty of ice and cold drinks.

🌀 **GET A PORTABLE MISTING/COOLING FAN** — There are rechargeable fans that attach to your golf cart or use ice/cold water to help cool you down. This can make a HUGE difference during a Vegas summer round.

🚙 **CONSIDER A GOLF CART SHADE/COVER** — Extra shade around the cart can reduce your direct exposure to the sun, especially while waiting between shots.

🧣 **USE COOLING GAITERS/TOWELS** — Wet cooling towels or neck gaiters can help cool your neck and head between shots.

🧢 **WEAR THE RIGHT GEAR** — Lightweight, breathable clothing, a hat or wide-brim golf hat, sunglasses and sunscreen are a must.

🌳 **STAY IN THE SHADE** — When you’re waiting for another player to hit, don’t stand in the sun unnecessarily. Park the cart in the shade whenever possible.

🍺 **GO EASY ON ALCOHOL** — Alcohol can contribute to dehydration. Save the celebration for after the round.

⚠️ **MOST IMPORTANT: KNOW WHEN TO STOP.** If you start feeling dizzy, unusually weak, nauseated, confused, develop a headache, or feel like something just isn’t right, **STOP PLAYING and get somewhere cool immediately.** Tell your playing partners—don’t try to tough it out.

And please look after each other. If your playing partner doesn’t look right, SPEAK UP.

I know we all love golf, and some of us are crazy enough to play all summer in Las Vegas 😂🔥⛳ — but we need to be smart about it.

**The scorecard can wait. Your health can’t.**

⛳ Living the Golf Dream at St. Andrews! 🏌️‍♂️

So happy for our LVGA brother Bob Eustice who’s traveling around Europe, enjoying life and, of course, playing some golf along the way!

He finally got the chance to play the legendary Old Course at St. Andrews — definitely one of the most iconic golf courses in the world. I love that course, and the pictures prove just how beautiful and special that place really is.

And Bob, I especially love seeing that LVGA backpack traveling around Europe with you! 😂⛳ Representing LVGA all the way across the pond!

Enjoy the rest of your time in Europe, brother. Have a blast, travel safe, and when you get back, let’s get you back out for some LVGA golf.

⛳ LVGA Saturday Recap – Revere Concord

Not a big group this Saturday, but still an amazing day of golf at Revere Concord with Ed Norton, Greg Aversa, Ben Gonzales, and me.

Our 7:32 AM start wasn’t too bad, but the heat definitely started getting to Ed and me on the back nine. 😂 I went 37–44, while Ed went 41–49. The Vegas summer eventually collected its tax!

But the BIG story of the day belongs to Ben Gonzales! 🏆⛳️

After playing golf for over 40 years, Ben finally made his FIRST-EVER HOLE-IN-ONE on #8! 🎯🔥🍾

Congrats, Ben! What an awesome moment to witness and definitely one you’ll never forget.

I’m genuinely happy for you… although after playing for 30+ years myself, I’m starting to wonder when the golf gods are finally going to call my number. 😂🙏
