I recently froze my eggs and decided to write this post due to the numerous questions I received. The egg freezing process can take several weeks to complete, and during the final two weeks, you may experience discomfort due to the hormone injections, although the procedure is performed under local anesthesia. Hormonal changes during the process can affect your mood, so having emotional support from someone is essential during this period. I retrieved 11 eggs during that one cycle and I don't plan on undergoing the process again. While some women may be able to collect enough eggs for their desired number with just one cycle, others may need multiple cycles to do so.
