Happy meal prepping! 🥕 🥦 🍖 you’ll want to save this for later y’all! 🤤

This weeks meal was soooo delicious and easy to make! Normally, I avoid pasta prep but this week I was just feeling it!🤘🏼 This was the first time I’ve tried Banza pasta and I HIGHLY recommend it! 😋

Here’s what you’ll need: 🛒
Banza pasta
Rao’s Homemade pasta sauce
Frozen or fresh mixed vegetables
Chicken sausage links

Here’s what to do:
1️⃣ cook pasta according to instructions on the box. Once cooked, rinse with cool water and store separately
2️⃣ cook veggies in a wok with your choice of seasoning. I used avocado oil, 🥑 garlic powder, salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, and onion powder. Store in a separate container
3️⃣ grill or cook your chicken sausage according to package. Once cooked, slice and store in another separate container
4️⃣ when ready to eat, place everything in a bowl and add 1-2 tbs of pasta sauce on the top of the noodles and enjoy! 🍝

Meal prep recipe! 👇🏼 save for later!!

Hey everyone! As most of you know, I’m all about that meal prep Sunday! It’s finally that time of year where I can break out the crock pot for some yummy chili! 🌶

This one is so simple!

Ingredients
Ground Turkey or beef
Red onion 🧅
Red bell pepper 🫑
Celery
Jalapeño
Tomato paste
Diced tomatoes 🍅
Beef broth
Seasoning of choice, I used garlic, oregano, chili powder and cumin

Brown the meat on a skillet and remove from heat.
Chop onions, layer avocado oil into the crockpot and add onions.
Add the rest of the chopped vegetables and ground meat. Add canned goods, seasoning and broth.
Cook on low for 4-8 hours depending on the strength of your slow cooker

Ps I added avocado 🥑 and cheese 🧀 yummm

Staying consistent with your routine is so challenging when you’re traveling 🧳 ✈️

Im back in Michigan for a few days to visit friends and family, and whewww it’s been a lot 🤣

Routine is super important for me and when I’m off of it im a nightmare! My sleep is off, my workouts are slacking and food choices are difficult 😣

BUT I always have a plan!

1️⃣ bring your own snacks- snacking and packages food isn’t idea for me but it’s better than eating something that will make my stomach upset

2️⃣ stay hydrated- helps support your immune system! I also feel super dehydrated when traveling so I make it a point to keep water with me 💦

3️⃣ sleep- getting enough sleep is key to good recovery! I like to take some vitamin melatonin with me while traveling 💤

Hormones are complicated. 😩 Taking care of your hormones is important yet, no one talks about it.

How I got into the fitness and nutrition world? 👀

📖 STORYTIME: so I was always in sports growing up and struggled with my weight. I remember being in middle school and trying to go “anorexic” to lose weight. I would eat ice chips and snap myself with a rubberband around my wrist if I got hungry. It was a tough time and I was highly misinformed about how to lose weight.

Fast forward, and I was listening to a Joe Rogan podcast 7 years ago and it was the first time I had heard of the Keto Diet. I purchased every book I could get my hands on and followed a 21 day reset and fell in love. Around the same time I was snuggling with consistency at the gym. Like many, I would go and wander not having a clue where to start, what to do, or what machine I should use. I was not motivated and was quite literally dragging myself to show up.

I decided I should try a fitness class since that was something I had not tried and recently moving to Vegas from Michigan where I was born and raised, it seemed like a great opportunity to meet people as well.

My first week of CrossFit I knew this was it for me. I fell in love. It was also my first week of being on the keto diet which at that time it was unbeknown to me that a low carb diet and CrossFit was not the ‘normal’. 🏋🏽‍♀️

I felt the best I ever had in my life, I looked the best I had in my life and felt amazing. This inspired me to get my nutrition certification, my online personal trainer certification and my CrossFit certification to help other people on their journey like I helped myself. 👭

Since then, I’ve pivoted my nutrition choices and stuck with what works best for my body now. My journey has been amazing and truly life changing. I’ve learned so much about myself, fitness and nutrition and im still going! 😁

Too often we forget & take for granted how far we’ve come 😔

“Most people overestimate what they can achieve in a year and underestimate what they can achieve in ten year” 🗣

💭 Lately, I’ve been reflecting on my personal fitness, nutrition and career goals and where I was 5 years ago compared to today. I try to take moments throughout the day to appreciate my journey and acknowledge my hard work ⏰

Just a few years ago I was not happy with myself, how I looked or how I felt in my own skin🥺 That’s an awful place to be, but I realized only I could change that. 🙅🏼‍♀️I stoped making excuses for why I couldn’t and shifted my mindset to make it a nonnegotiable and build my day AROUND my gym time, meal prep time and mental health time. 🏋🏽‍♀️ 🥩

No one said it was easy. It takes hard work and consistency. 💪🏼

We tend to focus on the things we have not achieved rather than patting ourselves on the back for ALL that we have 🎉 Take time today to reflect on EVERYTHING you’ve achieved and how far you’ve come- both fitness wise and personal 💛

🦠 Gut health is easily overlooked and most of us are not prioritizing it. Having a solid foundation to fall back on is important for the body and gut health is the key to overall health!
