Equine asthma makes every breath more difficult. 🫁😩

An inflamed airway restricts airflow and increases the effort required to breathe during exercise. Even small reductions in airway diameter can significantly decrease airflow, forcing the horse to generate greater negative pressure to inhale.

This increases respiratory effort, reduces breathing efficiency, and places additional stress on the respiratory system—while requiring more oxygen and blood flow to support the muscles involved in breathing.

Hot, humid conditions can increase respiratory stress during intense exercise. Supporting the nasal passages reduces the work of breathing and promotes efficient breathing during exercise.

Performance starts at the nose, so FLAIR® Equine Nasal Strips are a great place to start your ride.
