While our hearts break for the victims and families impacted by this tragedy, this event underscores the core mission of JMAD Training Group: mindset, situational awareness, and the decisive willingness to act. True safety isn’t a guarantee—it is a responsibility we carry every single day.

Note that this is information that was gathered from open sources & shared by the media.

When seconds count, a prepared citizen makes the difference.

The tragic shooting at Silver Rail Elementary School in Bend, Oregon is a sobering reminder of why we train. When an armed 16-year-old shooter forced his way toward the school, a local community member didn't wait for a response team. Carrying a lawful concealed weapon, this citizen chose to run toward the danger.

The bystander pursued the active shooter inside the building and successfully neutralized the threat before law enforcement even arrived on scene.

Bend Police Chief Mike Krantz and Oregon Governor Tina Kotek both confirmed that this rapid, heroic intervention definitely prevented further loss of life.

Our thoughts and prayers remain with the Bend community, the victims, and the brave citizen carrying a heavy emotional burden today.
Stay aware. Stay trained. Be the asset.

Classes are available for your CCW.
