www.melaniekayepr.com I grew up in Ottawa and in order to see the bands I wanted I started booking them myself. Keep your name clean.

By the age of 15 I was doing a little bit of everything; publicity, promotion, and management. I have continued working as an independent freelance publicist specializing in the punk/ underground music scene but I love all kinds of music. My focus is more on making sure whatever I am involved with has a positive and inclusive message. Since 1999 I have been running Fat Wreck Chords Canada and have

Cj Ramone has launched his new podcast “CJ Says: A Ramones Podcast,” with the first episode dropping today, April 23, titled “Ramones’ Side A Deep Dive.” As CJ puts it, “What better date to launch a Ramones-centric podcast than the 50th anniversary of their classic debut record?”

Joining him as co-host is longtime podcaster, producer, and former Kerrang! Radio presenter Matt Stocks. With CJ at the helm, the show promises a deep dive into the history and back catalogue of one of the most iconic punk bands.

Listeners can expect behind-the-scenes insights from someone who lived it both on and off stage. CJ Ramone was a key part of the band’s final and most prolific years, and each episode will explore a Ramones album in detail, packed with stories from dressing rooms, road trips, airports, recording sessions, and beyond, along with never-before-told stories and interviews with guests from music, film, and television.

In the debut episode, CJ and Matt break down the origins, themes, cultural impact, and stories behind the tracks on the Ramones’ debut album.

Next week’s episode will feature the first guest interview, with Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan.
