For Disney fans, James Earl Jones will forever be Mufasa, lending wisdom, strength, and deep emotion to The Lion King, The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride, The Lion Guard, and the 2019 live-action remake. His performance turned animated dialogue into something timeless and deeply human.

To Star Wars fans, he is the voice of Darth Vader, one of cinema’s most iconic villains. After Disney acquired Star Wars, Jones continued to shape the character’s legacy in Rogue One, Star Wars Rebels, The Rise of Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and even Disney Parks attractions like Star Tours: The Adventures Continue.

His Disney legacy runs even deeper, narrating American Legends, introducing a segment of Fantasia 2000, voicing Santa in Recess Christmas: Miracle on Third Street, narrating Disneynature: Earth, and lending his voice to animation, film, and iconic theme park attractions.
